Horseshoe Council Bluffs is a casino and former greyhound racing track in Council Bluffs, Iowa, near Omaha, Nebraska. It is owned by Vici Properties and operated by Caesars Entertainment. It has 60,000 sq ft (5,600 m2) of gaming space with 1,438 slot machines, 63 table games, a William Hill racebook, and a WSOP poker room. Accommodations are offered at an adjoining Hilton Garden Inn, and the nearby Country Inns & Suites, Holiday Inn Express and SpringHill Suites.

The Horseshoe holds the World Series of Poker Circuit Event during August of each calendar year, and the Horseshoe Poker Championships (HPC) during February in each year in their poker room.

Bluffs Run Greyhound Park opened in 1986. In March 1995, slot machines were added and the property became Bluffs Run Casino. Harveys Casino Resorts bought the property in 1999 for $165 million. Harrah's Entertainment (now Caesars Entertainment) acquired Harveys in 2001. In 2006, Harrah's completed an $85-million expansion and renovation of the casino and rebranded it as Horseshoe Council Bluffs. Greyhound racing ended in 2015. On October 6, 2017, ownership of the property was transferred to Vici Properties as part of a corporate spin-off, and it was leased back to Caesars Entertainment.

  • There seemed to be quite a few bonus spins because there were "music" sounds being heard often and people would give a happy shout. We will go there again soon.  more »

  • Never would I ever believe a hotel with the name Cesars would be of sure poor overall issues. First the staff really hates there jobs, other than the bellman the staff continuously showed and...  more »
  • Very good Sunday brunch. Choices included Italian, Mexican. BBQ, Chinese and American fare. The salad and dessert bars were outstanding. The service was attentive and responsive! Recommend giving it a try even if you don't gamble.
  • My luck was not great on the casino floor, However Tonya and Karen the breakfast crew. Took great care of us when we slept past breakfast. Very accommodating and friendly. They are the reason I will be coming back. thanks again.
  • Great place. 2 different lounges for diamond and upper diamond/7star. Nice layout. Would of been a 5star but the put bosses on the floor dont seem to know how to rate their customers unless asked. If you go to the managers lounge ask for Jolie, she will take care of all your needs and pass the word on to her local hosts etc!!!
  • The Horseshoe Casino has every table you could think of, and then some, a vast choice of slots, and a couple decent places to eat. The dealers are friendly and engaging. Personally, this is one of my favorite casinos in the general area to visit. It's nice that the points you earn can really be put to use in Vegas, because everything is owned by Caesars now.
  • My favorite place to go. Lots of machines the workers are so nice always ready to help you. The food is delicious, I cant wait to go back me and my husband love it there.
