  • It's beautiful with so much natural beauty and waterfalls. The fall colors looks amazing and the drive was a memorable experience. The complete area is managed quite nicely, and the staff was very supportive and courteous. We had the opportunity to see bear and a baby bear from just few steps away on the way back. Loved the ever present morning fog. It is one of the oldest and most popular mountain range on the border of TN and NC. We drove there all the way from Franklin TN couple of times in different seasons and entire stretch was great. There are waterfalls throughout the park and some of them really have slippery rocks so watch out for that. It has lot of activities to do including auto tour, trail, waterfall, overlook, historic areas and a large mountain range to explore. Smokies mobile app was very helpful to navigate it better. Multiple routes are closed in winter. Avoid holidays and rush time to really enjoy it. It was a great experience and even two days were less to explore it.
  • Of course I loved the park. It's breathtaking and serene, and unlike most national parks, there is a depth of human culture here as they showcase the Appalachian communities which have survived in the area down through the centuries. And there is NO ENTRANCE FEE! It's totally free! Hard to believe! You just drive into the park and explore, and guidebooks (like the one I have from National Geographic) affirm that it features some of the most beautiful drives in this part of the nation!
  • Up to par with other national parks I’ve visited. Rangers and volunteers are helpful and friendly. Great sights. Well taken care of trails. A bit too popular for its own good. Parking can be sparse.
  • Absolutely beautiful! Had a wonderful experience with my boyfriend. We had a great time and did something new every day. We went out to eat at their Mexican restaurant (believe it was called Loco Burro) and the food & drinks tasted great! People were very friendly who worked there. Scenery was beautiful; joking was unbelievable. You can't have a bad experience.
  • Love this place! Something for the whole family. Nature trails for all skill and ability levels-inquire at the park information station. My 7 yr old LOVED Cade's Cove-loved the houses from the 1800s and we also saw some deer there. Elsewhere in the park we saw lots of wild turkeys. Got to play in a little leftover snow. It's completely free and so beautiful.
