  • Nothing to do there really. One can watch the facilities and on weekdays maybe get some food nearby but it is not really a good destination to see exciting stuff.  more »
  • We went to see Reser Stadium, Home of the Oregon Beavers, as well as Oregon State University. I was surprised how many buildings were brick. Since it was a school day, lots of students were walking to...  more »

  • Beautiful campus, very helpful administration. The new media program is phenomenal and the instructors or attentive, caring, and beyond knowledgeable. Bill Loges, Dan Faltesek, Josh Reeves, and Katrina Machorro made my experience one that is unforgettable and pushed me to look beyond what is given to us at face value and helped shape me into who I am today.
  • The campus is large and beautiful, but the process of transferring is next to impossible. The admissions won't even talk to me until I'm signed up. My issue is, I'm currently taking classes at a community college, trying to figure out what requirements I need to take in order to even get in the program I'm interested in, and they won't even help. Than I call the program admin and they're completely rude. Am I going to take a bunch of classes, spending thousands, just to find out none of them transfer? No. I won't. I don't recommend going here at all. The staff are extremely rude and unhelpful.
  • Corvallis is fun, friendly, and sudsy with local brews. The Robotics program rates higher thatn John Hopkins and MIT - graduate work defines this University as a premier school - the undergraduate programs are diverse, exceptional instructors who care about the future - environmental programs include field work - the ocean is a forty minute drive west - skiing on the east side - rafting, fishing, brewing - great place to study amd grow.
  • Dorms are nice, bathrooms are spacious, I stayed for a night. They give too much food. When you get dinner/breakfast they give you a ticket to get another meal and if you don't have willpower you'll gain a lot of weight!! The campus is huge, fairly clean, but too many people.
  • I'm a graduating senior in electrical and computer engineering, and also in the University Honors College - and I firmly believe you can get as good of college (especially technical) education at OSU as anywhere else in the country. While technical classes can be really tough and/or time-consuming, I had my fair (many) share of 70+ hour panicky weeks, they are because programs expect you to have an in-depth understanding of the theoretical materials you can apply at a real-life, practical level. As for the Honors College, if you think you can get in coming to OSU, APPLY! Honors classes are worth whatever extra you have to put in to vs normal classes - because of the ways courses are structured, it can turn your experience in a particular course from "taking it to get it out of the way" to "eye-opening learning experience". Internship (MECOP for engineering majors - great program) and research opportunities also exist so make sure to take advantage of them.
