  • My poor visit may have something to do with it being mid July, but I have to be honest with the review. My kids had more fun feeding the huge iguanas and birds than anything else. It was hot, a lot of the flowers were brown from the heat and there was all of 1 butterfly in the butterfly house. Not cool. We did find some plotted plants for my grandmother that she hasn't been able to find easily elsewhere. Maybe if it had been spring it would have been a happier visit.
  • The reptile room and the birds were the highlight of our trip. Would love to see all the plants and flowers during spring because they do have a great variety. Now for the negative. The person at the front desk was rude and wasn't aware of promotional discounts listed on the website. We had several questions along our walk but couldn't find a single person to talk to. We paid for leaves ($1 for a single leaf) to feed the turtles, but we never saw them. My son was so excited to play in the play house, but couldn't because it had a very active wasps nest inside it. Their wasn't a single butterfly in the butterfly house. I was disappointed in our visit.
  • Lovely birds. Friendly staff. Not expensive
  • Great place to learn about local flora and fauna at their workshops and lectures. Exotic small animal collection adds interest for kids. Need to add substantial permanent signs to label plantings, especially of large woody specimens that don't change exhibits season to season.
  • Amazing! One of the must visit attractions in Corpus Christi. This botanical garden boasts many diverse ecosystems and garden areas. Has dozens of interesting animals and even allows you to feed some of the birds and turtles! It's a great size not too big not too small. Lots of comfortable benches spaced throughout, many in shady areas of cozy flower filled nooks. Great for photographers or families.
