  • The Center's exhibits are well done and informative; they even have a mounted bear you that you can take your photo with - and the movie is very, very, interesting and informative.
  • What a nice facility! In all my years visiting here this was our first trip inside and we will definitely be back. Look at their schedule for daily talks with center staff for the kiddos!
  • This is a good place to visit on rainy check-in days. The guides in the gift shop really know their stuff. It's a must see if you have kids or are interested in the history of the area.
  • Really cool resource for families. In addition to having a neat gallery that explains the history and ecosystem of the Outer Banks, they have a bunch of free public programs like guided nature walks that our kids found compelling and informative.
  • Got there at 4:30, supposed to be open til 5pm, but no entry into building at 4:30. When i asked a question and another lady asked about the bathroom the woman working there was Very rude.
  • Great for families! One of the best family attractions in the OBX and it's free. Check their website in advance for a list of classes and programs, which are great for families.
  • This is awesome! They have an $8,000 aquarium with a little museum, they have several free educational classes in the summer, and they run little educational movies every hour or so in the summer. Best of all, it is run by Currituck County, so everything is 100% FREE ;)
