  • Kutters cheese has been a treat for as long as I can remember. Trips there with my Dad will always be so special to me. There is something called Cheese Curds. I'm not sure if it is unique to Kutters,...  read more »
  • Great cheese and great prices! This place is a must visit. But you can also get there cheese at local supermarkets.
  • I am a huge fan of everything from Kutters/ Yancey's Fancy. I love buying the different cheeses from their small store. It's better priced than the grocery stores that sell it and they typically offer...  read more »
  • Kutter's is a cheese place that I discovered by accident several years ago. The thruway was closed due to snow and I had to use Rt.5 to head back to the Rochester area. We stopped in, tried samples of several kinds of cheese. We left with about $50.00 worth of merchandise. What a place.... what products......great, friendly service....well worth the drive from Rochester. We go back several times a year. 5 stars from us..... P.S. If you really love sharp cheddar cheese, try a sample of anything over 15 years old. MMMMMM...
  • Great cheese. Ever had Yancey's Fancy? This is where it's made, in many more varieties than you'll see in the supermarket. My fave is the steakhouse onion cheddar.
  • Yes, it seems foolish to drive 200 miles to buy cheese but it was the only way to get the cheese I want. All their cheeses are good (things like smoked Gouda with bacon or the new dill cheese) but the Bergenost is my favorite for a lot of recipes. This is a tiny little storefront connected to the factory. If there are more than 4 people in the place at a time you will probably bump into each other, but you get to talk to great people, taste sensational cheese, and buy those things like Bergenost that you can't find in stores. It's about 3 minutes off the NYS Thruway and worth the stop.
  • Phenomenal! Nice people and great cheese! I am Canadian so I can appreciate Maple Bacon Cheese. I have also never considered the possibility of combining wasabi and cheese...THEY HAVE! And it is delicious!!! Next time I'm in Darien I'll be going back!!!
