  • We were part of a group of 24 who came to play golf, spend the night, and play golf again. The course was in real good shape. It has some challenging holes but all and all a relatively fair course for...  read more »

  • We stayed the weekend here for a veterans group meeting. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The water areas are SO clean. The staff was friendly. We rented a cottage, and was pleasantly surprised at the size of it. 8 adults and a child fit just fine! Will be visiting often.
  • Just left a weekend trip early here. We are tent campers and are used to camping in the ga heat. But the gnats! They are unbearable! You cannot be anywhere outside where they won't swarm you. I felt like for this being one of the most expensive ga state parks to tent camp at, we would be expecting more. There's no ac in the bathrooms, which also are pretty worn. The little beach is nice, but there are no working showers/ rinse spots near it. We are membership holders and this park doesn't do the membership discount. Sites were roomy, but I just felt that the quality of this park doesn't match the price.
  • Really good Park to enjoy with all the family. You can either rent a cabin or camping by your own in the nature. Kayaking, biking and hiking are other good things to do in there. Moreover, there are fishing areas and decks to go with your boat. And the museum is a big plus. Just remember to bring your food and the Mosquito repellent.
  • Currently in great condition. Fun layout, multiple tee options, beautiful course. As of June of 2016, the greens were in very good condition although though a little slow. Course was pretty crowded so be sure to get a tee time.
  • What a park alongside of lake Blackshear. The rental cabins are close to the water but the huge areas on the front of the cabins prevents them from having a rustic "feel". Cabins are probably slightly below average for stat parks and were not cheap (around $125 per night). Some nice trails to walk and there is a nice restaurant by the resort that is co-located in this park.
