The Coral Gables Merrick House is a historic home in Coral Gables, Florida. It is located at 907 Coral Way. On April 13, 1973, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The house was the family residence of George E. Merrick, founder of the city of Coral Gables.The house has been restored to its 1925 appearance by the City of Coral Gables, and is open for tours twice a week.

  • Merrick House is 1800's architecture made with old oak and Italian gardens. It had some rennovations in 2015, now owned by Coral Gables museum. No mention of tours or events.  more »
  • This would be a great little home to tour once it is restored and preserved. As it stands, it's a wreck. I visited while the place was fenced in and painters were beginning to work on the exterior. It...  more »

  • Thus is an interesting stop for tourists interested in the foundation of Coral Gables. See how the founder lived, prior to his eventual financial ruin. Regular garden events and scheduled tours of the home are typically free and enlightening.
  • Really cool old house on coral way made of coral.
  • Need repairs
  • too bad you can't stop by with the car! Historical building in the area that definitely deserves a ride!
