  • So beautiful! Paid $7 for the car as entrance fee. The park rep at the booth was super friendly and informative. We had our dogs on leashes and were so glad the park is dog friendly. They swam in the....  more »
  • Very orderly and clean. I must have seen them clean the camp restrooms 6 times a day. Small. Only 37 hook up sites and about 30 others. Big beach and good location fir Cooperstown.  more »

  • Had a great time. It was overcast and windy, a little chilly at times. The water was warm and clean and the lifeguards seemed to be paying attention even know the was not a lot of swimmers in the water. The water was a nice 73 degrees. The covered bridge was great. It was very nice to see how they built things back then. Bathrooms were neat and clean. Everything was stocked appropriately. All the employees either said hello or waived as the walked or drove by. Gave us a friendly family environment feeling. The playgrounds were up kept nicely and every thing worked as new. Our kids(and I) had a great time playing on them. Overall a very nice day trip for the family to get away and enjoy some of New York's finest. Looking forward to bringing the family back soon.
  • Glimmerglass park is a great place to bring the family for an afternoon, or a full day of fun. Clean restrooms, nice beach, lifeguards on duty, plenty if nice picnic tables on well- kept grounds. The park has become a family favorite.
  • We enjoyed our stay at Glimmerglass. Clean park, well maintained EXCEPT no hot water in showers. Informed the office who said they'd get it fixed right away. Did not happen. Spoke to another camper who said it had been out for a week. Not impressed.
  • Good solid beach. Seaweed is present at waters edge but doesn't effect usability. Few rocks as you enter the water but transitions to soft sand quickly. May want water shoes if you'll enter/exit frequently or have tender feet. Beach was good for digging. Sand is very packy (buy plastic gardening trowels to bring). Make sure you plan to carry out your trash with you.
  • This is a beautiful state park. We camped here over the 4th of July weekend and had a great time. Got to see some awesome fireworks right over the lake! A lovely lake to sit by and swim in. Hiking trails. Historical sites to explore. Full concession stand at the beach. And only a 15 minute drive from Cooperstown. The few drawbacks are: this is a very popular state park, it was quite buggy and had very limited cell service (unless you have Verizon).
