  • Have searched a picnic place. There's plenty of tables/benches with views of the Lake and great scenery. Barbecues are also sufficient. There are also toilets and changing rooms. Before the "Lake" a small sandy beach. Swimming is currently hardly, as too little water. During the day it costs probably $4 admission and the Park closes at 20: 00. We arrived at 17:30 and had to pay anything more. There is a way around the Lake to walk around. Very nice Lake to relax to let the day end.

  • Another great short hike for our toddler -around a small lake, very cute. We were only there for less than 30 min however, so the price you pay to get in is not really worth it. We had paid to park by...  read more »
  • Echo Lake State Park is a beautiful, romantic, picturesque and well maintained! We were visiting the area and the Echo Lake State park was suggested as a must see, we agree, it is a Must!
  • The scenery here is beautiful. Gorgeous views of White Horse Ledge and Cathedral Ledge. There are lifeguards on duty, so feel safe swimming in the lake. There are nice walking trails in the area. It is an easy 1 mile around the lake and there is a mid level trail that heads up to the top of Cathedral Ledge. Overall, this is a great area to spend some time with the family on vacation.
  • My family visited for the first time this past weekend. We did a little hike and then spent the afternoon at the lake. It was beautiful. Clean and peaceful. My two boys had a blast swimming and finding tadpoles. The only reason I didn't give it a fifth star is because they don't have food vendors. We visit from out of state and can't easily pack lunch. All in all, we enjoyed the park and will return again next time we are in NH.
  • Nice trails and beach. The climb to Cathedral Ledge and White Horse ledge was a lot of fun, though much steeper than we realized when we first started off. Taking the trail from the white horse trail head is a longer walk, but much less steep. We ended up taking the steep route up cathedral then went the steep route to white house and then took the easy route down.
  • Family friendly beach with an amazing backdrop. Swim in the warm water; relax on the sandy beach; watch climbers scurry up Cathedral Ledge; take advantage of picnic tables; walk the trail around the lake; or, do them all! It's a pack in/pack out place with no concessions, so plan accordingly...
  • Small fee for the entrance, great Sandy beach with plenty of space. Good for families. Great hiking trails around the lake and up the mountains for the more adventurous.
