  • My wife, dad and I went there this past weekend and I am still very angry about my experience. My wife bought the driving experience for 8 mins on the track behind the wheel of an indy car. 4-5 of whi...  more »

  • The experience was great! Just as advertised. Governors were set at 100mph but it was only a 1/2 mile track so there was some feeling of speed. Would love to be on a bigger track with faster speeds but of course there's a reason why they don't allow that in the introductory experience. All the folks associated with putting on the experience were great, very calm, cool, collected and we were not made to feel like such novices. Even after I stalled the car on rollout :-) Not cheap but good fun. -JDZ
  • Some of my kids got together and gave me the NASCAR Racing Experience for my 77th birthday. Best birthday gift EVER. This was a fun event from beginning to end. Its not cheap, but well worth the money if you are a NASCAR fan. Cars are governed by an rpm limiter, but speeds of 150 mph are attainable at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where I was. I was able to post a top speed of 147.2 mph. Not too shabby for a 77 year old geezer, I don't think. Hummm, maybe the kids will do it again next year!
  • I never felt a thrill, rush or any sense of excitement at all. 106 mph top speed on the track -- I think I hit 90 in my truck on the way there. Extremely disappointing. Ever been to a petting zoo and seen a pony ride for kids -- where the ponies are strapped to a metal carousel and just walk around in a slow circle? This is the racing equivalent. If you are Ned Flanders and have never had your Mini Van out of the slow lane -- go for it. The Andretti Racing Experience was at Phoenix International Raceway on October 2nd, 2016. As a gift I was given the opportunity to drive an Indy style car (about a $300 package). I spent 6.5 hours at the track to be on the race track about 7 minutes (granted, about 1 hour and 15 minutes was due to a brief rain shower). While on the track an extremely unprofessional "spotter" was in my ear to guide my laps on the track. I received very little instruction and lots of condescending feedback. He was truly a miserable human being and clearly didn't want to be there. The car had a rev limiter that kicked in at 4700 RPM and kept the car from ever getting much speed. Pick another item on your bucket list.
  • Fun time and friendly staff. Would definitely do it again.
  • It was an awesome experience! The crew makes it fun, and the spotters talk you through everything. Be aware that if you are a large person, it's gonna be tight in the car, but once you get in and get settled, it's amazing. you can reach speeds of 150MPH+
