  • We had some free time during a visit to concord and decided to stop in. The displays are small but interesting. The library is a huge resource for those researching NH history.  more »

  • While walking around Concord, stopped by to tour the historical society building. You do need to pay a small price to get in. A lot of very nice historical paintings and a few historical artifacts.  more »

  • Though there seem to be many people who are in satisfied with the NH historical society, my experiences there have been overwhelmingly positive. The staff have assisted me on many hunts through the archives for old forgotten maps of towns in their infancy. The historical collections are interesting as well, making it a worthwhile trip for a New Hampshire history buff.
  • Beautiful library that is truly underutilized. I loved studying here. Quiet.
  • My experience at the NH Historical Society Library was less than satisfactory. The staff is accusatory and treats their patrons as if they are better than them. The staff enforces the library rules in a demeaning way. I have been reprimanded several times for minor infractures such as using a pen in my own personal notebook and having other personal posessions inside the reading room. The library asks a lot of it's patrons but gives little back in return. If you can avoid this particular library, do so. There are many other libraries in the area that could provide you with a more helpful and scholastic experience.
  • An informative-educational place to view collections Relics preserved for many generations A great place to have your family history documented and displayed
