  • I was fortunate to stop by the Old Manse on a free entry day, part of a celebration by the organization that maintains the house. I was particularly struck by the close quarters of the rooms and how s...  more »

  • I always enjoy historical sites, but the curators here really know they're taking about and can answer lots of questions. If you're a revolutionary war buff, you have to check it and the bridge nearby out where "the shot heard round the world" was fired. The grounds and house are also kept up well for how the house is. Make sure to ask about the "texting" left.
  • Really informative tour. Love the diamond carved windows. Lots of interesting history and personal tidbits. Cool wallpaper to boot!
  • Oh it was just beautiful. And most of the furniture and house hold items are as old as the house!
  • We had an awesome tour guide who made the families come alive
  • Great piece of American literary and revolutionary history.
