  • The first time I stopped by here I was walking the paths and saw a whole herd of deer. Have yet to see it again but love to sit by the small lake and watch nature and people.  more »

  • We went sledding here today. The parking for sledding is right next to (and at the top ) of the hill which is very convenient. The parking lot was large and had been plowed. There were lots of people there today but it didn't feel cramped. The sledding hill is wide and steep enough to get some decent speed. There were kids of all ages going down. They have hay bales lining both sides of the hill. They also have wooden fencing next to the hay bales that we used as a handrail when climbing back up. Overall great place to go sledding!!!!
  • Great park in the middle of Westerville. Plenty of hiking trails as well as a huge flock of wild turkeys. Deer are also seen here often and the parks center has plenty of educational opportunities. Would recommend.
  • Very nice, older metro park with great tails to walk or bike. It's older now, so the trees and foliage are really grown up and filled out. There is an abundance of natural wild life as well, and probably could even be renamed Deer Woods Metro Park with how much wild deer have taken to the park.
  • Beautiful trails to walk and great playgrounds for the kids. This is my favorite place to go for a long run, but the hills can be tough. There are also lovely unimproved tails to hike and explore nature.
  • Beautiful spot to sit and be with nature. Seems to be quite large. Will enjoy exploring when it's a bit warmer!
