  • The most diverse gourmet restaurant ever! Like Cleveland's West Side Market, this was an old city market (although not as ornate as Cleveland's), but while Cleveland's retains the old time market feel, Columbus' is an updated hipster restaurant mall in the format of the old market stalls with every kind of culenary delight. There are shops scattered between the various dining options, but most all with some foodie accessories or compliments. Everything that we had was amazing and delicious. This is a must visit for anyone who loves good food!
  • I've lived in central Ohio for nine years now and always heard about North Market. I really liked it. Lots of interesting eateries, Jeni's ice cream, a donut shop (but I forget the name, but they smelled delicious), cheese, fudge, meats, Olive oils, and so freaking much more. It has a really great vibe too. Now that I've been here once, I'm definitely going to make the trip from Westerville back down there. Lots of interesting things to see and eat!!
  • Diverse vendors, fun events and great live music. The peddlers fair is an especially great way to showcase local artisans. Fantastic food and a great bar as well. All around lovely spot and one of my favorite places in the city.
  • If you are in Columbus you have to go to The North Market. I love the variety of food, coffee, artisan goods, and specialty stores: cheeses, artisan bakery, artisan oil and vinegar, butcher, fishmonger, florist, the list goes on. You have to go see this place for yourself. If you can't find a place to sit, try going upstairs. It's nice and cool even in the summer and there is plenty of seating with a bird's eye view of the whole market!
  • Lots of great places to eat and shop some of the market is outdoors and mostly outside. Food is phenomenal and moderately inexpensive. I highly recommend this place as a must see for Columbus. If you need a place to sit upstairs has some great sitting otherwise enjoy the day outside at a picnic table.

Where to stay in Columbus

Because Columbus serves as one of the country's major convention centers, its downtown offers comfortable rooms at all price levels. Hotels in the central part of town not only keep you close to all of the city's major attractions, but also provide you with modern amenities that include 24-hour room service, fitness centers, spa services, and on-site restaurants and bars. To stay in the city for a fraction of the price, consider an inn or motel near the Interstate exits.
