Columbus State University (CSU) offers challenging programs; thought-provoking and creative faculty collaborations; and a vibrant, globally connected campus — making it a first-choice option in higher education.

As part of the University System of Georgia, CSU is located in scenic Southwest Georgia and attracts future leaders from across the globe.

CSU includes nationally recognized departments and innovative international programs on both its traditional main campus and urban downtown campus in historic Columbus, along the banks of the Chattahoochee River.

It’s also the home of the world’s longest urban whitewater course, a zip line to Alabama and a plethora of local restaurants.

The university emphasizes excellence in teaching and research; lifelong learning; cultural enrichment; public-private partnerships and service to others.

The inclusive excellence-driven university enrolls approximately 7,000 undergraduate students and 1,500 graduate students in 46 undergraduate and 42 graduate degree paths.

The university’s downtown campus, RiverPark, features engaging exploration opportunities, from the university’s Coca-Cola Space Science Center to one of the fastest-growing music programs in the Southeast, the award-winning Schwob School of Music.

Because of its commitment to empower students, faculty, staff and the community to make global impacts, CSU has emerged as one of the nation’s first-choice universities.

  • Fabulous campus. If I was a local I would take classes at this place because of the location. Beautiful with ample parking, and close to everything. Revives the little section of town it is in, and I ...  more »

  • CSU has been full of great opportunities that I have had the chance to take a part in and I've only been here a year so far! The campus only continues to grow and improve and all of the faculty and staff have been more than willing to help me get to where I need to be. Just like any school, as long as you stay on top of your work, it'll have some of the best times of your life! Can't wait for next year!
  • The staff is allowed to pretty much do as they please to anyone and everyone, regardless if you take any issues through "Proper Channels." The Department Chairs pretty much default towards the professors at all times. Funny how someone who's best interest is to make sure his or her department is in order and under control- is tasked to investigate themselves, so the quintessential result is them sweeping anything and everything "Under the Rug" to not look bad. Funny.
  • Great local University! The school has really grown.
  • I am going to make a beautiful comeback to CSU this summer or fall of 2017 and no later than by transferring from another school that's preparing me to do better by pulling up those bad grades from those courses I took at CSU I lacked effort on!! This school is so awesome with caring professors that I am going to give them a BIG benefit of a doubt!! Yes I let my guard down at CSU and yes I take full ownership of my actions for not turning in assignments! But if I want to succeed at CSU or any other school, then I need to get my mind straight and be more serious minded! And I am letting my actions do the talking and the convincing! down at
  • Do not come here for Computer Science. If you are looking for a place to prepare you in the future try a different school. Research the professors, and use rate my professor on the department 2.0 is usually the average on their ratings. The run around is common. Expectations start high and drop very low at this school.
