  • First is safety, it's always number one at Earth Treks. I am not a climber, this experience really gave me confidence. I don't just mean scaling walls, but in everyday life. I will say age is not a fa...  more »

  • Undoubtedly one of the better facilities in the nation. But they seem only to care about the money. The membership fees are by far the highest in the region and keep going up. They undoubtedly cater towards the day passes (where the most money is for them in entrance fees) and the beginners. This is not a gym that will challenge the stronger climbers. I've made numerous requests for more high level climbs (V9+, 5.13+) with little response each time and it seems you have to stay on them or else they go back to setting nothing in the range. As the gym gets bigger and bigger the staff becomes more of a desk jockey and less of a climber; less knowledgeable about the sport and the equipment day by day. If I didn't live inside 5 miles from this gym I'd be a member elsewhere.
  • Absolutely enormous gym with tons of routes for both rope climbing and bouldering. On the expensive side for a day pass ($25) but if you calculate the number of possible routes in your skill level, you are getting a lot for your money. Also nice that they have showers in the locker room and standard gym stuff like treadmills and weights too
  • This is a very nice, clean, facility with plenty of different options for rock climbing at all difficulty levels. The price is incredibly reasonable and the staff are very friendly. A place I am sure to return to.
  • I have been going here for years and I would say it is an all-around good gym. My biggest problem is typically that they hire a lot of noobs to perform jobs like floor safety, and on two or three occasions I have had to explain to them why the decisions we made were safer than what they wanted me to do. Kind of an awkward situation. Also, I did not like when they had the one guy in particular setting all the routes because he sets his problems for a person around 5'7" to 6'0". I got really sick of having every climb turn into a height problem rather than a technical problem. His problems were very awesome, I just got tired of the height being the main challenge.
  • Great place to climb, do yoga, train. Not as state of the art as the crystal city location but still great. Membership is expensive unless you are going a few times a week. Especially since the new prices.
