  • Location is great. Easy to get to. Check in was easy and units are pretty nice. Nice little perks that I haven't seen in other timeshares like more than 2 days worth of dishwashing detergent and laundry soap. No shampoo though...plenty of soap but no shampoo. The family center with the indoor and outdoor pool is nice. Kind of a far walk from some units. Nothing at the resort (spa, restaurant, golf) is ridiculously expensive like at other places either.
  • When we arrived, checked in, and went to our unit we were initially very disappointed as the units are non - smoking, but ours smelled off stale smoke. After talking to the front desk in person about the issue they called a supervisor, who assigned us a new room which had no undesirable smells. We are very happy with their willingness to help rectify the situation.
  • In all my years of travel and staying in hotels, I've never had such a frustrating experience. I took my daughter to Glacier Park to go hiking on Saturday. We took a long hike and got back to the hotel around 4:30 p.m. We decided to clean up and then take a nap before going to dinner. Shortly after I took a shower and laid down the fire alarm went off. Now, I understand this happens, but when the alarm (which was extraordinarily loud) didn't go off and the front desk called and asked us to leave the room I got up and went outside. Not one employee told us what was going on or how long to expect to have to be outside, no one even talked to us. We eventually just went to dinner and a movie (totally exhausted). When we returned at around 10:30 p.m. I went straight to bed. Around midnight the fire alarm went off again and when it didn't go off an employee came by and pounded on the door and told us we had to go outside. Again, no one gave us any idea of how long we'd have to wait or what was going on!!! I couldn't believe the lack of communication. We were eventually let back in and I got to sleep around 1 a.m. Again, I understand that things like fire alarms can happen, but to happen twice in one day and for there to be no communication was unbelievable. The next morning when I checked out the front desk didn't say a word about it. I was and am very upset with this experience and would not recommend this resort.
  • Everything about this resort is great. Unit is large. Whirl pool tub is great. Dishwasher and washer. 1br 1.5 baths. Centralized to all sounding cities. So quiet and so much to do. Only complaint is bed and pillows a little tough
  • We bought a unit a few years ago. We spent money for my daughter and son to take a plane cause they had to go back to work early. We drove a good 12 hours to get there and when we got there they told us we couldn't stay in our beautiful until because they had to use it as a show unit that week. I was so bloody mad all week and I watched very closely to see if they showed unit. They did not show unit at all. When you book a year in advance, spend extra money for kids to get there for a family vacation this is b.s. We didn't sue but we should have. Still attempting to pay for a unit that WE WILL NEVER EVER go back to.

Where to stay in Columbia Falls

Lodging right in Columbia Falls remains limited, but look for numerous inns, bed and breakfasts, motels, campgrounds, and guest ranches just outside town that offer plenty of places to take your evening rest. Staying on Route 2 east of town provides more convenient access to Glacier National Park, but establishments to the north, south, and west get you away from the road traffic. Book early if you plan to visit in summer.
