  • One of the best museums I have been to in a while! Awesome timeline layout walk from end of WW1 to beginning and end of WW2. Follow the white arrows and you go year by year learning about this generation of aviation. Wonderfully setup, 25+ aircraft, lots of memorabilia and information. Guided tours each hour over at the separate hangar where they are always restoring new aircraft! Multiple volunteers with expert knowledge who were super friendly and clearly enthusiastic about aviation. Can easily spend 1-3 hours here, we took our time reading and following the arrows and ended up around 2.5 hours. Love this place and highly recommended.
  • This place is awesome! Came here for my son’s birthday. He LOVED it. The tour guide was knowledgeable and personable. Recommend this place for anyone who loves World War 2 history or aviation history. Will definitely come back as there is way too much to take in on one trip. But it was awesome to try!!!
  • Wow! I’m thrilled with the overall experience! My wife and I spent four hours in the museum and easily could’ve spent more time! I really thought the whole experience was well curated and I appreciated the personal stories that accommodated each of the artifacts. Additionally, learning about each plane in-depth was really nice. Finally, speaking to the team that helps maintain/repair the planes was equally fascinating. Please note, I’m choosing to not post more than the one photo I have included as they have asked any photos are for personal use. Just know the planes are in excellent condition and basically all are airworthy! They have an air show every other year (or so we were told) and they will have their next show this September (2022). If we didn’t live in another country, we would certainly come back for the air show.
  • This place is very unique. It is the only museum of its type where everything isn't roped off. You can walk right up and touch the aircraft. You can stand under them. You can stand beside them. The staff are all very passionate, knowledgeable and experienced. Our tour guide had served in the military using some of the aircraft he was showing. This was awesome for me. It was a great glimpse at our country's history, and the history of our great military. We went on a couple of tours that day and didn't have enough time to spend at this one. I recommend 2 hours at very least. Three would be better. I will be back. I will spend much more time at this museum looking at the sites and listening to the stories of the soldiers turned tour guides.
  • What a wonderful experience! I visited with my mother and sister expecting to see some cool planes. To our luck, a guided tour was about to begin just as we arrived. For an additional $5 our guide/docent Les (don't feed) not only educated us on the planes but the important history behind their development. The number of exhibits, and the amount of information in their placards is impressive. But having Les as a professional historian lead us to points of interest really made the experience more immersive. The tour takes about two hours, but there are numerous benches on the tour route if you need to rest. If you don't care about the history and just want to see some amazing planes, beginning with Great War era planes and ending in late WWII era planes, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I will need to make another visit to truly absorb the vault of knowledge displayed. And as a fun fact, the museum maintains all planes to be fully operational, and they are flown semi-regularly. Truly amazing machines kept as living history.
