Glen Eyrie Castle, Colorado Springs

4.5
#2 of 6 in Historic Sites in Colorado Springs
Castle · Hidden Gem · Convention Center
There are few places so rich in both history and spirit as Glen Eyrie! Originally constructed in the late 1800s by Civil War hero and founder of Colorado Springs General William Jackson Palmer, Glen Eyrie was a modern marvel for its day featuring both electrical power (supplied by its own power plant) and some of the first telephones installed in the West.

The Navigators were blessed with the purchase of Glen Eyrie in 1953 and have continued using the peaceful and beautiful grounds as a place of rest and rejuvenation for countless missionaries and honored guests like you.

  • Wonderful place to stay. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Rooms are well decorated, clean and comfortable. The rooms in the castle are small by today's standards, but the castle's history takes you back in time. A very special place. A must for anyone visiting CO Springs.
  • Beautiful, scenery was amazing inside and out. Food fantastic. Was there for a seminar, the staff worked really great with our coordinators. They treated us like family.... And there were many of us.... My room was cleaned ever day...
  • Beautiful. Absolutely amazing. We had a truly fantastic time. Loved the castle. It was wonderful to walk around the castle and see all the rooms. The staff was great. The hiking and the views were second to none. There were miles and miles of trail to hike with some of the best views ever. We will certainly be back to visit.
  • Beautiful and unique venue. The staff is excellently friendly and helpful. I much enjoyed touring the bottom level of the castle during Stork Fest, as well as walking around the beautifully kept gardens and grounds.
  • I haven't been here for 15+ years and came for a dinner and concert. It was such a great and romantic place to come. The grounds are beautiful and so well taken care of. Everyone was super welcoming and helpful. Definitely would suggest coming to an event here!
