Where to stay in Colorado Springs

To experience the scenic beauty surrounding Colorado Springs while on holiday, consider staying at a resort just outside the city, offering sweeping views of the mountains plus access to championship golf courses, tennis courts, and spa/fitness facilities. You can also discover Colorado's great outdoors by pitching a tent at one of the area's many campgrounds, or by renting a cozy cottage or mountain cabin.  If you prefer to stay near downtown, consider a moderately priced inn or motel, located a short walk from the city's finest shops and restaurants.

  • We visited with my elderly parents, my husband and our three young kids ( ages 10, 8, 5). The kids actually had quite a bit of fun- my parents and my husband and I did as well. It wasn't super big but...  more »
  • Nice place. I liked that everything was inside. All rooms were decorated with authentic furniture and decor. Great for all ages.  more »
  • While this is a family owned attraction, I felt that it didn't have to be quite so expensive. My kids felt it was ho-hum, and me even more so.  more »

  • This was very nice laid out and interesting for the adults to get a look back in the days. Kids(8) were bored most of the time. There was a shooting gallery that they loved and a few interactive thing's to do but make sure you have a lot of quarters because you have to pay and the quarter changer didn't work. They also had a gold panning that was fun but the pieces of gold was so small it really was a hunt but we were lucky to find some. It was a fun stop.
  • Not bad. Cute for kids. Smaller than I expected. Good place for some photos. Not much education. Very whitewashed. Some of the souvenirs are pretty racially insensitive. Others pure offensive cultural appropriation.
  • Took my kids here over spring break for something fun to do. It was a lot of fun and worth the price. I also found a $1.00 off coupon that I believe was applied to each admission! The staff was friendly and it wasn't too crowded. I like the hands on exhibits and that we were allowed on climb on one very old street car! Will definitely be going back even if just for the awesome gift shop!
  • You walk inside through the gift shop and you are back in the era of cowboys, cars and gold panning. Feels like a small town. You walk through and peek in shops such as the barber shop, a jail, a firestation, a convenience store and a room where the ladies serve the gentlemen. Classic cars, short movie on how the west became the west. Behind the museum, you can pan for silver or gold. We found a nice handful! There's also an old home decorated with memorabilia. I personally loved it.
  • This was so neat! I loved the Mutoscopes. There were a bunch of them, so make sure you bring quarters. They had several older vehicles and wagons. You can take lots of pictures, but can't sit in them. You can even pan for gold, and we got to take home a gold flake we found!
