  • Very nice park! Nestled high in the pines, this is such a fun place. We came on an overcast, cool day, but there were still plenty of people here. Thankfully, there is ample parking and lots to do, so it doesn't seem crowded. A field to play in, playgrounds, swings, picnic tables and grills, and room for blankets on the grass. We know from previous trips that there are woods to hike in, too.
  • There are two large playgrounds, a dog park and a pond in this park. There are also numerous trails and several pavilions that can be reserved. During the summer, they also have music groups come and perform near the pond. It is a great place to take the family, meet up with friends or just hang out.
  • This park is large and offers many options. Long walking trails, gazebos for parties and events. It has playgrounds and a pond to walk around. The dog park is really nice and there are always lots of dogs to play with. I've seen weddings, sports, BBQs, and all kinds of events going on here.
  • Great regional park, well maintained. Huge fenced off-leash dog area, divided into small dog area and regular area. Several playgrounds, a large koi and turtle pond, and several miles of hiking trails.
  • Love the hiking trails. Pretty views of Pikes Peak. A couple of different playgrounds for the kids. Love the fully fenced in dog park!! Bring your own water since there is no water source. Toilets are locked except in the summer and they are basically nice outhouses.

Where to stay in Colorado Springs

To experience the scenic beauty surrounding Colorado Springs while on holiday, consider staying at a resort just outside the city, offering sweeping views of the mountains plus access to championship golf courses, tennis courts, and spa/fitness facilities. You can also discover Colorado's great outdoors by pitching a tent at one of the area's many campgrounds, or by renting a cozy cottage or mountain cabin.  If you prefer to stay near downtown, consider a moderately priced inn or motel, located a short walk from the city's finest shops and restaurants.
