Tibbits Opera House is the second oldest theatre in Michigan, having been built in 1882. Rich in history and ambiance, even today the theatre offers theatre-goers an exquisitely restored facade, nearly perfect acoustics, an intimate 499-seat setting, and a fine array of performances throughout the year.

Tibbits is the home of professional as well as community theatre, music, art, entertainment, family productions, and dance recitals. It is truly a community gathering place to spend quality time with family and friends!

  • Loved the fact that the community restored their very old opera house and from the signs around town, they are continuing fund raisers to keep it in top shape. Beautiful area and building.  more »
