Decent place. Customer service is polite, but is hard to get their attention. The are animals to see (chickens, goats, donkeys), and lots of fruit to pick. The store is quaint, albeit a little on the small side to spend more than half an hour rummaging through. There's coffee, ice cream, a deli style menu, etc. Lots of parking. And outdoor player for kids, and live music which was actually quite good when I was there. Just plan on an hour or two and it will be a great time. Regarding the review about vicious dogs??? There are signs right in front stating there are dogs. If you were too busy looking at your phone to see it, that's your problem. This is a clean country store, and one of the bettwr outfitted in the area. I happen to like animals. If you don't, heed the clearly written signage and stay in your downtown loft snuggling your hypoallergenic pillows. :-/
This was the most AWESOME place to go! We got peaches that were so tasty and juicy, mmm!!! This is a very family friendly place!!! We only paid 50 cents a pound for some peaches, can't beat that!!! Going back in 3 weeks to get some apples!!!
If you have a service dog, please be aware there are two vicious St. Bernards that are free to roam the store and cafe. My husband is blind and uses a guide dog. When we were in the store last fall, the owner's two St. Bernards came charging, growling, barking and trying to bite my husband's guide dog. The only way the guide dog did not get mauled was because my husband used his knee to block the dog and pushed it away. Finally, an employee grabbed the dogs and removed them. The owner failed to realize the seriousness of the attack on a service animal because he said it's his business and he can have the dogs there. It's $65,000 and nearly two years of training for a guide dog. Luckily, my husband's guide dog is able to work. Some service animals are too traumatized after an attack to work. After the attack, an employee said there is a sign that says no dogs allowed. The employee had no clue about the ADA and that service animals are allowed. I would give this place no stars if I could in posting this review for its lack of knowledge of the ADA, Washington's Layla's Law making it a criminal offense to interfere with a service dog, and for general rudeness.
The peach pie is to die for, as is the fresh market and cute shop. The dogs are pretty awesome too. Nice jungle gym for kids and plenty of parking.
It's a fun, family friendly place to go and get some great produce and some fresh air. Fun for short weekend trips.
