Old Trail Town, Cody

Categories: Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web
See what the stomping grounds of Buffalo Bill Cody and Gen. Custer looked like at Old Trail Town, a reconstructed Old West setting. Although it appears the area was suddenly abandoned, the town was carefully constructed in the 1960s using antique materials collected from the region. Visit the memorial to legendary mountain man Liver-Eating Johnson, and explore the log cabin that belonged to Curly, a Crow Native American scout. Explore the other cabinlike buildings, which are decorated with artifacts to resemble town staples, such as a general store, living quarters, and a school room. A small fee gets you access to the grounds for a self-guided. Old Trail Town is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Cody Edition.
