  • Awesome place! Not hard to get to off the highway. Very clean bathrooms. Water and electric no sewer. They do have dump station! Highly recommend! We stayed here in our 40 ft motorhome.
  • Pros: Charcoal grills, cover picnic tables, sandy/rocky swim beach, showers, life jackets are offered free of charge but please return. Rv hookups. It does get its fair share of wind. Day use fee 5 dollars Cons: Yellow boundary line between swim beach and rest of lake has a strong current that wants to pull you into the deep end and can be dangerous for your more novice swimmers and kids. Please make sure y'all wear life jackets even for you experienced swimmers, you never know when you have to save or your life be saved. I learned this myself recently.
  • This beautiful place is kept absolutely clean!! There are showers, flushing toilets. The campgrounds are kept extremely clean!
  • Great Public Resevoir that offers light motors sports, windsurfing, stand up paddleboarding, 1 and 2 person kayaks and life vests for day rental. 2 public swim beaches with lots of public parking. No convenience stores or souvineier ships to be found in this deep water filled by the Rio Grande. Water was around 70 degrees the day we paddleboarded. The backdrop to this lake is the MOST remarkable thing about it. It's also situated up the road from an indescribable lanscape known as tent rocks. Both are a MUST if visiting the Santa Fe area.
  • hot, no shade trees, the public restrooms by the lake are usually dirty because of the lack of respect for public property. Showers are okay, but are moldy and could use a good cleaning.
