  • We did this as a side trip to Massachusetts. I definitely recommend. Out your guide Eugene was very funny and I enjoyed that it didn't seem scripted. We also got to experience it with just flashlights...  more »
  • We came here after a planned Howe Caverns visit (which was closed despite website info to the contrary). it certainly is smaller and less touristy and the women's restroom was out of paper towels at 1...  more »
  • Stopped here before howe caverns to check it out. It was a whole different vibe than howe. It was more fun and lighthearted. The waterfall was great and the guide was entertaining.

  • Staff was awesome and quite entertaining. The price seemed a little high but it turned out to be worth every penny. Walking back up the stairs was not fun.
  • The Secret Caverns caves was a wonderful experience. With its narrow passages, low hanging rocks - it was totally worth it! The place is damp and the floor is a bit slippery, so I would recommend wearing shoes that don't slip. Apparently the temperature is 50 F year round, so I would recommend half/full sleeve shirts. Definitely recommended!
  • Just visited the secret caves yesterday. Basically they r same as Howe Caverns but I was told by guide Eugene that they r natural. The best part was the waterfall at the end and Eugene was great. Cool guy and was very informative. Prices is 18$ less than Howe Caverns but I feel it's still little expensive but the good part is that parking was free and I got 2$ off for being a AAA member. Reccommended if u visit Schoharie County. Schoharie County itself is sooooo scenic and Beautiful and super clean like all the upstate NY :)
  • Secret caverns is AWESOME! So much fun, they've got a personality and humor unlike the over commercialized Howe caverns. Compared to secret caverns Howe is $&!@. Anyway You get to experience the cave and not just tiptoe around the formations, you can touch and climb and have a great hands on experience. I definitely will come again and again!
  • Nice caves. narrow and slippery surface but still safe for kids. Waterfall in the end was too good.
