  • The 2nd largest zoo in the state of NM. Good outing for children and adults. Well kept and the giraffe is a hoot!  more »
  • I am from Orlando. So there isn't much to do here at all. I love coming to the zoo. Yes, it might get boring if you go too many times, but I love animals and seeing them in person. I would love to wor...  more »
  • In fact, probably one of the smallest zoos I've ever visited. But that's okay by me. My view is that they're helping to preserve the species that they have for future generations, and educating those ...  more »

  • This is NOT a full or medium sized zoo. So I can't compare it to zoos I've been to like the Philadelphia, San Diego or LA zoo! That said, it's a cute, small, quaint zoo to see, when you are in Clovis, NM. It's only $4 dollars admission, so bring the children and have a nice time. Sorry, many of my photos are substandard because I couldn't get close enough or the fencing/wire was in the way. Considering that a world class zoo, like San Diego charges $45-59 for admission, this is a bargain for sure! 😊
  • A good zoo to test the waters on how kids will handle being around crowds and animals. It is a good family place to get out of the house and get active in Clovis it takes about an hour to an hour and a half to see the entire zoo and the price is always fair. Being from a big city this zoo was a bit disappointing but it is wonderful for toddlers and young children to explore and learn about animals they don't usually see.
  • Small town zoo with a nice selection of animals. Walking paths and layout are a little strange but you can tell it was a lot "bigger"/nicer at one point in it's life. Great place for families and people wanting something different.
  • My other review was just biased, I moved in military and I didn't know much about the town when coming here... But now I'm going to make a decent review. The lake water is green but I learned that they recycle wastewater for it. The animals look alright but it does need some more keeping up. The zoo has a decent selection of animals and it isn't that bad for a town like this!
  • Small zoo, small prices, our kids don't know the difference and they love coming here, especially to watch the spider monkeys. Some parts aren't as well maintained as others but recently it looks like they have been working on improvements.
