  • One of the few mills located in excellent conditions and one can see everything back and options. It has a Museum, a visit not to be missed if you pass by Clinton.

  • The Red Mill museum and associated out buildings are superb. The Red Mill museum not only lets you view the Red Mill from the inside, it contains a wealth of information about the area from late 1700's to mid 1800's. For example, I knew that NJ farmers used to produce bumper crops of peaches, but I didn't know why NJ peaches seemed to run dry. The answer is in the Red Mill museum. Evidently an invasive scale insect devastated the Hunterdon peach crops in 1901. The museum also contains interesting information about chicken farming, egg production, basket making, limestone, and electricity generation associated with the area. Of note is a beautiful, intact, one room Bunker HIll school house from 1860 complete with furnishings. If you've never seen an intact one room school house before, see it at the Red Mill museum. Amazing.
  • Beautiful view! Very relaxing and refreshing area and a very cute town. A nice restaurant by the riverbank.
  • Great place to visit. The town is quaint and makes for a good day trip.
  • Very recommended place to visit!
  • This place is a Clinton, NJ landmark. Even on some popular New Jersey State postcards, the area around Hunterdon County is often represented by a picture of Clinton's red, wooden mill. It's beautiful to look at, and it turns into a haunted mill at Halloween time.
