  • This is one of the largest museums you will find to learn about long ago in this area. Many structures to tour in an easy walk through. So interesting. There is also a nice gift shop and a lunch count...  more »
  • This place is beautiful! The grounds, the museum, and the General Store were all very interesting and we were taken back to the "old days" on the farm. And just when we were getting ready to leave, a ...  more »
  • Very personal and thought out descriptions of items. Loved the peacocks! Gift shop was full of unique items and cafĂ© served home cooked meals. Tour was self guided, friendly staff.  more »
  • If you love history. Especially local history you'll love this place as much as I do. There are countless items that are well over 100 years old tools and things. Plus all the structures. Authentic cabins, barns, a school house, and a church. All this with the great hospitality and demonstrations of how things were done way back when is what makes this place really something special. If you haven't taken your family yet I highly recommend it!
  • If you enjoy history and learning about how folks managed to get by this place is a must see. For me the best part was the person al history attached to seemingly every piece. It would take all day to truly read everything. So much to see.
  • The museum is set up as a village. You can see the cabins as they would have been in the 1800's. A great place to take your kids. Also, have lunch in the gift shop. Some of the best cooking you will find anywhere.
  • One of the coolest places to go spend 3 to 4 hours in the different buildings and they have such a great collection of cool stuff....the diner here has never disappointed me either...great deserts
  • It's such an amazing reservation of a specific point in time...everyone on site is so helpful and the food in the cafe area is delicious. Very cool historical museum!
