Water-Zoo Indoor Water Park Reviews
Went here for fall break my kids had a blast. We will go back again soon. There was a lot of people but still didn't seem that packed. I had 7 9 4 and 1 year old by myself and we had a blasy more »
Overall: Great stay. We had an issue with our site, but the staff and owner were very helpful and worked hard to correct it...definitely a customer-oriented business. Water park: Good value, lots of f... more »
We recently took my son here for his birthday. He loves waterparks and in February its hard to find an indoor one to take him to. We did the package deal through Holiday Inn Express (right next door) ... more »
TL;DR: The staff seems great. The park seems like a fun place in the right temperatures. Don't go when it's cold outside. My wife and I decided to get away for the night with our 2 daughters on New Year's Eve. It was extremely cold outside (below freezing) so they "always 82 degrees" promise their website made was very appealing. The website had an offer of $179.99 for a family of 4 to have 2 days of swimming and 1 night at the Hampton Inn across the highway from the water park. I called the phone number listed on the page and was told that the offer on the website was only good for the 28 and 29th, something that was not disclosed on the site, and that the cost for the night would be $273 since my youngest is only 2 years old. I reluctantly accepted the terms as my kids were set on going swimming. We drove an hour and a half from Norman to the hotel, checked in and changed and went to the water park. All the employees I encountered were very friendly and courteous. We walked into the swimming area and I could tell the temperature was cooler than I had expected. Stepping into the water was almost painful because I knew it was going to be too cold to swim in but, we attempted to make the best of it. Within one float around the lazy river, my 2 year old daughter's lips were turning blue and she was shivering uncontrollably. We left within 10 minutes of arriving. The manager of the water park told me to speak with the hotel staff and they were authorized to do refunds. I asked to cancel my reservation and they obliged. They said that they would charge it like I had never even been there but currently there is an authorization pending for $433.10. I assume this will just fall off after a few days but, that amount was never even discussed and if I absolutely needed the money that pending transaction could really be an inconvenience. I am giving the 2 stars because the staff did everything I had asked of them but, I'm more than a little upset and the 4 or so hour investment I made driving there only to have my kids be deeply disappointed. I spent a lot of money on gas getting out there and that's just a loss to me now. I think the place could be really fun if the temperatures were conducive to a comfortable experience.
We went on December 29th. It was our first time. The staff as very friendly and helpful! Our biggest complaint was how cold the water was! They couldn't keep it warm! Their advertising we saw made it seem like it would be warm, but it was very cold.
It seems like every time we come it is cold. We water isn’t warm and when you get out it’s freezing. They had heaters hooked up to propane tanks which can’t be safe at all. One of the slides was closed which I assume was due to weather which was 45 degrees. We love coming because the kids enjoy it, but I am not sure we will be back unless they can get the issues fixed.
This is a really fun thing to do for an afternoon. We drove out from the city and spent a couple hours there and had a blast. It's clean, the lines aren't long at all, and you have the option of being lazy in the river or doing some fun slides. This place is definitely geared towards kids, but the three of us (all adults) had a great time too. I love that your wristband can do everything for you. I wish EVERY water park did this. Not having to worry about a locker key was awesome.
It's a fun place. My baby doesn't really like it but my 3 year old loves the lazy river. Kids who are younger can not ride cery many of the slides and they will get water in the face so if that's a big deal I would not let them do them.
