  • This is an excellent stop for those traveling cross country with kids. We have a 6 yr old and throughly enjoyed our stay. We spent two nights so we could spend all of one day at the water park. Came early enough to take advantage of the two day tickets (the hotel package deal) when we arrived the first day we spoke to the staff (who were all very nice and helpful). They said it was busiest between noon to 4pm, so we decided to arrive early the next day and come back after a leisurely lunch and nap time. It was absolutely perfect. There was just enough people there to feel fun without being crowded in the morning and late afternoon. My son had no problem finding play buddies and I felt confident the numerous lifeguards were keeping careful watch. Of course we visited mid week and not during major holidays, so it was not crowed at all. During our all day visit we ordered a pizza to pick up at 8pm from the in park restaurant to take back to our room and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It was only $14 for the large that easily fed all three of us and no extra charge for any toppings you want. This was excellent as we love getting a lot of toppings! Yes, there were some bugs in the water - this is an open greenhouse style building that had the roof open during the day - if any of you have owned a pool you would recognize it's impossible to keep a pool completely insect free at all times - I felt the water quality was excellent - clean and clear and not overpowering with chlorine. Yes, there was some rust, but I didn't see any mold and felt overall the facility was well maintained. To summarize, I will arrange our future cross country trips to take advantage of this respite from the road.
  • I'm going to be fair in this review and list the pros and cons from our visit. The employees/staff were excellent. The food wasn't too pricey and was really pretty good. There was enough to keep you busy for about 2 to 3 hours. For this reason I feel the admission price is probably a little too high. The facility needed some attention (pools need to be drained and acid washed for stains, some metal is rusting and needs to be replaced, small chips of concrete missing and needs attention, metal poles that support the slides need to have the corrosion looked at and cleaned, the water was dirty with dead bugs and other objects on the bottom in the wave pool area). Most of these issues are minor and are cosmetic. We felt safe there at ALL times. This is really a pretty cool place to go since it is indoors and you don't have to worry about weather issues. There are free towels to use (and leave) free life vests for little ones to use, free use of showers with soap dispensers in them, a gift shop with supplies in case you forgot something, plenty of lifeguards for safety and staff to assist you in/out off/on the slides. Overall I give it a 3.5 to 4 stars out of 5. The only thing that would truly make this place better would be to expand it. Take your family and go here at least once. It is worth the trip.
  • Excellent fun for adults and kids. We have stayed at the hotel and swam twice now. The water park was not too crowded and the life guards actually paid attention watching for the children's safety. Our children (6 and 8) loved the wave pool and lazy river even more so than the slides. The hotel was clean and had a friendly staff. Our air conditioner went out however one quick call to the front desk they put in a new unit in 15 minutes and was out of our room. So glad we didn't have to wait long or change rooms!
  • Save your money and visit Great Wolf Lodge if you have older kids. Spent $115 to walk in the door and there are only 3 slides, very small wave pool and a lazy River. Water feels really dirty. For smaller children it's perfect there's more Todo and a kid area. Didn't try the food but there is fast food near by and I would stay in Clinton either it's horrible.
  • I have mix emotions of this place. Let me explain. First the prices are steep $34.99 for adults and most kids 10 and up, which is based on height. The park doesn't offer military discount either; bummer. The size of this place is relatively small and more geared to the younger kids; 12 & younger. The slides are fun; two slides required tubes, either single or doubles. Also there is slide for yourself without tubes. Lines move quickly, if there is any much of a wait. Park has a lazy river, pool with basketball goals to shoot some hoops, wave pool and a little kiddy fun area with slides. The steps have good traction to keep you from slipping but my concern is the all the mold within the corners - needs to be power washed at least 2x a week from keeping this mold reappearing. This is some rust on the steps but that's to be expected with this being a indoor water park. They provide life vest for those who need them free of charge along with towels. Has lockers for purchase as well, free showers and snack/food bar but it's expensive. Did I mention EXPENSIVE; 16oz $2.25, 32oz $4, ice cream $3, burgers $6.25, corn dog $3.50...and so forth My overall opinion is that I wouldn't bring my girls back, since they're older, the price is too much for this small water park. You can get hotel and 2 White Water Bay tickets for $106 and additional tickets for 30% off. Now if I was traveling through here with younger kids and needed a stop I would recommend the hotel and water zoo package. Hotel is quite loud due to all the kids running the hallways as well.
