  • On a country drive we made our way to the Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve. Not the best weather to hike so the drive would have to suffice. One of our stops along the way home was the Clifton Mill...  more »
  • Went for the light display, not the Inn or the food. The display was impressive and worth seeing. The price was a little steep ($10) but not ridiculous. Doesn't have a lot of replay value so not sure ...  more »
  • The mill itself is very nice and a lovely place to stop to see the covered bridge and the mill building (although it would be so much better to have a viewing spot from the covered bridge - they have ...  more »
  • Great atmosphere. Beautiful grounds. Lovely covered bridge. Five stars breakfast food! Amazing pecan bacon, and the flapjacks are enormous and delicious! Down side? Waiting time--extremely long. Every time I have eaten here it takes a half hour to an hour after you are seated to get your food. Also, I would not recommend eating anything but breakfast food, all other fare I've eaten there is mediocre at best. We continue to love this place and go pre frequently, because the breakfast really is the bomb! But go with proper and expectations about the incredibly long waiting time.
  • We went to the Mill today after hiking over from the State Park. The restaurant was nearly empty, but it took 10 minutes to get seated. We were waited on pretty quickly, but 45 minutes later had not received our meal while others were being served around us. We were served a bowl of potato chips to apologize and told lunch was being cooked. Lunch was grilled cheese, breakfast and a what appeared to be frozen burger patty cooked over done. Fries came two minutes later. The food was bland and anything I could have gotten from fast food. We were offered a 50% discount when lunch, an hour later should have been complimentary at that point. I'll never return. What a disappointment!
  • Beautiful place to visit. Really friendly place and restaurants and store. Awesome hiking trails and just a really nice area for pictures and packed full of history. Beautiful part of Ohio. Will visit when the Christmas lights are on.
  • I recently moved to the Dayton area and have tried many of the restaurants around here. This is by far my absolute favorite. We arrived mid-Sunday and had about a 40 minute wait. At 6 months pregnant, I just wish there were place to sit while waiting. BUT it was definitely worth the wait. The portions are huge, and I felt like I was eating a home cooked meal at grandma's house. Delicious. For two people, we were served so much food we couldn't eat half of it. And it only cost us $24!
  • Great casual/rustic atmosphere, service friendly but very slow on a busy weekend morning as noted by some others. The huge pancakes are more gimmick than great idea; to get the middle cooked, the outside ends up forming a crust that's almost a shell, and they're way more than most people will ever eat.
