  • The state park is awesome. love the hiking trails and the mill area. We always enjoy the lake too. As for the campground, we have stayed here a couple times and really enjoyed ourselves on each occasion. Showers and restrooms are clean, sites are well maintained and spacious. Our kids enjoy the playground in the campground. Really nice place.
  • I was really upset there were no more horses to ride here (swimming is now no longer offered either). The staff was very friendly and helpful, however. Campsite #19 is the best one! A nice, quiet little place.
  • If I could give higher I would because of the staff. Everyone I interacted with was top notch. They went above and beyond to solve a problem I had while camping there. (a problem of my own creation) Nice facilities and grounds, very clean (if dated) bath houses and in a very interesting part of the country. Spent a week there RVing and will do again. Great staff.
  • We went to the park to see the Glade Creek Gristmill. It was late winter and there was still snow in places. The mill and its setting are beautiful. We even took a short hike up a tail with snow along the sides. We hope to return durning the spring, summer and fall as each season has its own beauty. We can explore more of the park on our return trips.
  • We stayed in one of the cabins a few years ago. It was great! One of the most beautiful places. I have ever stayed . I can't wait to do it again!
