  • I LOVE that the Cleveland Aquarium is in an old brick factory. Very friendly and informative staff. A nice variety of freshwater and tropical critters (And some tortoises). Also good interactive exhibits for children. (Having a saltwater tank in my home, though, they really need to replace the light bulbs on their tropical tanks to reduce some bad algae outbreaks.)
  • It's one of the least favorable aquariums I have been to. The admission is way too much for what the place offers. There aren't many varieties. The lighting is poor. The education materials is lacking. The venue is poorly decorated. It's roughly 1.5 hr of decent viewing of each tank. Just go to the Cleveland Zoo's fish area. By the way, the gift shop is REALLY SAD. Everything looks like it's from a flea market that the aquarium just marks up 100x.
  • I love how they used the old architecture to display and home the sea life. My kids thoroughly enjoy coming here. Paying an extra $2 to feed the sting rays is highly recommended! I do feel as though the tickets are overpriced but then again I can't imagine what it costs to keep sharks and stingrays, an octopus, etc. I do also feel as though the aquarium is pretty small compared to other aquariums I have been to and the price is comparable. If you go in knowing it is small and it will be pricey and can get past those (opinions) then you will have a great time. And your kids will also have a great time. The animals are beautiful and extraordinary and walking through the shark tunnel and petting a stingray are worth the trip.
  • Good place to take the kids every once in a while, but too expensive otherwise. Maybe it's more reasonable with season passes. The touch exhibits are a great, but if you took that or the shark one away, there's not much there. We had a great time, but 90% of our time spent there was at those 2 exhibits.
  • LOVE the Greater CLE Aquarium! They have an amazing variety of marine life. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. It's built into a historic structure and they made really good use of the space. The jellyfish in the old smoke stack is genius!
