  • We had lunch at the Great Lakes Brewery restaurant. Excellent food but a little expensive for the portion size.

  • Located in a historic building in Cleveland, the Great Lakes Brewing Company did a great job keeping the old Prohibition era feel of the bar. It has distinctive areas like the main bar area, the taproom in the basement, and the festive dining area upstairs which allow you to have a different kind of experience on multiple visits. The food isn't anything to get excited over (except the bread pudding), but the beer is exceptional and they have always got new and different small batches that you can only get on tap there. They also offer the best tour of their brewing facility across the street of any I've taken in the US. The outside eating area is also great!
  • Arrived mid evening on a busy Saturday and checked in. Within about 20 minutes they texted us when the table was ready which is very reasonable for a busy Saturday evening. Had the Black and Blue Burger paired with the Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. Burger was excellent and cooked to order with a good amount of blue cheese. The Edmund Fitzgerald paired great with the burger; it has a bit more coffee note than say a Guinness. Defiantly worth a stop if in the area.
  • Fun and a cool location but it can definitely get crowded. Can't do reservations so you'll want to show up early. Food is generally pretty good and reasonable for price. Beer selection is from their own company and while it's limited, quite good. Beat of all they use IBUs next to the % alcohol which I think should be on every beer list. I just don't want a bitter beer all the time. Deserts are good too.
  • Great Lakes whips up some of the best brews I've downed. A good amount of space for seating with a cozy atmosphere greets you as you enter. There's specialty brews on tap you can only get here. The food also stands it's ground in deliciousness. The Local and Fresh Plate was a wonderous flavor adventure through Ohio's home-grown products. And the Old World Burger had me asking for more. Come here for a good night out!
  • Great beer and amazing food. I love that they do 8 ounce half pours. The ambiance is also wonderfully inviting.
