Where to stay in Cleveland

Most of Cleveland's hotels are located in downtown, though you can also plenty of comfortable and affordable rooms in the city's outlying neighborhoods. Many downtown hotels offer discounted weekend rates and deals that include tickets to some of the city's major attractions, but if you prefer to stay away from the central part of town, consider the neighborhoods east of the Cuyahoga River. Staying in this part of Cleveland allows you easy access to the city's cultural district, renowned for its museums, galleries, and parks.

  • The gardens are well designed with ample walk ways. The use of color and texture in the gardens as well as architecture make each space a work of art!  more »

  • This was the first time I have seen Cleveland and its wide variety of restaurants, beautiful scenery, well maintained infrastructure, parks and museums. On first sight it reminded me strongly of Frankfurt and other beautiful European cities that care for their citizens to have beautifully laid out and accessible family activities besides a chucky cheese. The gardens are well maintained, their layout somehow confusing but thus making exploration an adventure. The butterfly section was one of the best I have ever seen I can truly recommend this.
  • Stroll through a number of themed gardens, sit and read or sip a cup of coffee from the cute little cafe. Great place for young children to play in several kid friendly areas and a tree house. Pay $8 to park in their garage if you cannot find street parking. Beautiful and informative. Indoor tropical garden with birds and butterflies.
  • Beautiful gardens! Very lovely oasis to have in the city. Relaxing and diverse. Even as three adults, we especially enjoyed the Lego sculpture exhibit that was on display! Great for all ages
  • A family favorite for over a decade. Butterflies, flowers, birds, beautiful and fun gardens to explore and experience and changing art and installations - right now it's giant Lego sculptures. My adult daughter, nine year old and mother and I are all enjoying our day in different ways together. Do not miss this place!
  • Many people have taken their children to the Natural History Museum or even visited the Cleveland Art Museum however it's shocking to me that right across the street is an incredible Botanical Garden that many people don't know even exist. When my daughter was very young we attended some of the programs that had there for example like the fairy garden class where the little girls dressed up like fairies and made fairy gardens :-). My daughter had a blast and we've been there several times afterwards each time getting more out of it than the time before. It's a great place to go to get ideas for your own property in addition to just simply admiring The Professional landscaping and outdoor displays period I strongly recommend the Botanical Gardens on a nice summer fall afternoon.
