Deep River Brewing Company, Clayton

It's a nice little spot in downtown Clayton! The beer is always good and they have unique flavors that set them apart from the run-of-the-mill town brewery. I also like that they sell dog leashes! They don't serve food but that's okay because there's always food trucks on-site. I like that they have a no unruly children policy because kids at breweries are the worst. Deep River does get a bit crowded during weekends when the weather is nice, so we try to steer clear during peak hours.

30 Apr 19 - UPDATE: I'm updating my review based on a very professional and customer-oriented response i got from the owner. I was offered a reasonable explanation of the policy, an apology for the way my wife and I were treated, an assurance that the staff was educated on good customer interaction, and an invitation to return for a better overall experience. From a customer perspective, this is the best possible outcome. We will give it another shot. Thank you Lynn Auclair. 28 April 19 - We are from Wilmington, NC and stopped by to fill a growler before going home (2 hours away). Was told they would NOT fill a non-Deep River branded grower bottle. Since we have many bottles at home I would not buy another one. Bad policy!!

Great place to come and hang out with your friends while having a few drinks. They often have musical entertainment so they also support the local music scene. They also have food trucks that rotate so you also get to try out a variety of food on each visit.

This was our first visit here and went for the St. Baldricks event. This place has tons of space, a great selection of beers and people with the biggest hearts! Inside and outside areas, handicap ramps, easy access to inside and restrooms that accommodate wheelchairs, plus. They do NOT serve food, but they have food trucks that regularly come in.

Awesome! Love the atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly. Live music and a food truck, Cockadoodlemoo, Loved all the dogs too. Great service. We love our dark beer 40/42 Chocolate Stout, spectacular!
