Immaculate and spacious cabins for a great price. Walking trails, boat rentals nearby. Go in to the town of Clarksville for some shopping and dining.
I hate to rate it high because I want to keep it as quite there as it is now. We love this place. Due to not having a swimming hole it keeps the bathrooms clean ,adults that actually monitor their kids know what Im talking about. The sites are well kept and spacious. You dont have to worry about hitting low limbs here. The staff does a great job keeping the park clean. The park is well patrolled. Great trails and roads to walk or ride bikes on.
This is an all around great park. Water access in and near the park, camping, cabins, hiking, visitor center. I have been here both on vacation and during my motorcycle tour of all the Virginia parks. To illustrate the friendliness of the staff, while I was taking a selfie with a tripod at the sign to document my visit, the ranger drove up and offered to take the picture for me. I recommend this as one of the better parks in the system.
Nice place. Great boat ramp. Great camping and cabins.
Nice trail riding and camping facilities.
We love the cabins at Occoneechee state park. Great access to the lake.
