  • This park is great for boaters , picnics, and those who enjoy cabins. I'm writing as a hiker. Most of this area of va and Nc are pretty flat. However this has some unique areas to walk around Kerr lak...  more »
  • We decided to hike around the park in the early afternoon. The tree cover kept the park very cool for the time of day and the pathways were well maintained making it an easy 'hike'. We did not see all...  more »

  • I hate to rate it high because I want to keep it as quite there as it is now. We love this place. Due to not having a swimming hole it keeps the bathrooms clean ,adults that actually monitor their kids know what Im talking about. The sites are well kept and spacious. You dont have to worry about hitting low limbs here. The staff does a great job keeping the park clean. The park is well patrolled. Great trails and roads to walk or ride bikes on.
  • Nice, quiet park. You really need a boat to do any decent fishing. Not may fishing opportunities from the shore.
  • One of the best maintained public parks I have ever had the joy to visit. Very clean, cozy campsites, and two separate launch ramps to access the lake. Less than a mile from Clarksville.
  • Nice place. Great boat ramp. Great camping and cabins.
  • This is an all around great park. Water access in and near the park, camping, cabins, hiking, visitor center. I have been here both on vacation and during my motorcycle tour of all the Virginia parks. To illustrate the friendliness of the staff, while I was taking a selfie with a tripod at the sign to document my visit, the ranger drove up and offered to take the picture for me. I recommend this as one of the better parks in the system.
