  • Neat small museum in Clarksville. The building itself is historical with interesting architecture and embellishments. Small art gallery featuring a changing selection of artists in a variety of media. The rest of the museum is historical displays and antiques. There is one room devoted to sports and Wilma Rudolph. Cool area for kids to play and a large interactive model train display. Good gift shop. Low admission prices and friendly staff. Watch out for the steep stairs down to a lower level, there is an elevator in the lobby area available.
  • I did not even know this little Jem was tucked away in the heart of down town. I love museum and this multi level building has something for everyone. Wither you are into modern art, paintings, history or trains, yup I said trains, this is the place to check out. I love that is has it's own free small parking and we did not even know when we went that every second Saturday of the month admission is free. Some art may not be suited for everyone, however the have a couple of great places inside for kids to have hands on fun including a bubble cave.
  • Not great compared to other museums, but I guess you cannot fault the museum if the town it represents has contributed very little to history. The children's play area is very obviously stocked with local thrift store toys, and the grocery store is sure to reinforce negative stereotypes for little girls. Half of the friction activities were broken with no sign of being repaired in the near future. By far the most impressive attraction was the gift store, perhaps they should drop the entire exhibit dedicated to has-been athletes that no-one outside of the city has heard of and expand the selection of kids toys, it would definitely be a better use of space rather than a race car once driven by a nobody.
  • The admission is free on the second Saturday of the month! We took our family of 6 to this museum and enjoyed every exhibit. It is a good place to learn about Clarksville's history! You'll learn about the tobacco industry, how Fort Campbell started out, what the city once was, and more. On the lower level there is a nice play area for young children and a room where you could make large bubbles. We had a tough time getting out of the bubble room because it was so much fun! Even if we have already visited the place, we would definitely go back.
  • This local museum shows a variety of historical items and art. It also has a lovely gift shop. It is a must see in Clarksville, Tennessee. A visitor is made at ease and welcome by all who work at the Custom House Museum the minute one enters the museum. My grandsons totally enjoy the multitude of play items in the children's area, making art in the craft room, the bubble room, and especially look forward to when the toy trains, decorated by season, run on Sunday afternoons. The train conductors are so knowledgeable and kind to the children also. I proudly support this fine museum!
