I understand the frustration that some reviewers expressed regarding the effective use of space and currency of certain exhibits. However, there are outstanding exhibits. The Marilyn Murphy exhibit ju...  more »

This place is a mess! There is no flow to the layout. No one tells you where to go, the front desk person barely looks up. The current exhibit is of African American artists. The art is okay but there...  more »

As my time in Tennessee comes to an end, I thought it only proper to work my way backwards to Clarksville’s history to gain more knowledge. The Customs House Museum and Cultural Center was a jewel of ...  more »

Nice little place with lots of history. The trains look cool, but they're only working on Sunday. There's a large kids area in what I can only assume is the basement with a make believe "supermarket" with real empty food cartons. We were entertained for an afternoon.

Nice place to visit for out of towners. Especially liked the exhibit they have now on WWII

Parking on the side makes it easy, my child is an EFMP member through the military and they went out of there way to give her a special tour... my family n I loved it

So many neat things! And the building is gorgeous!

The museum was very enjoyable. I love that exhibits rotate out so often to keep the context fresh. I felt there was a bit missing from some of the exhibits - some more explanation of the material, more background information, etc. for example, in the sports displays, there is a quote on the wall from a baseball player and a newspaper that presumably contains interesting information, but there is nothing to tell who said the quote, or what you're supposed to be looking for in the newspaper. For locals who have been here for a while, the information might be understood, but for someone who moved here less than a month ago, I was a bit lost. I love the Explorer area but would love to see it ramped up a bit and maybe the play grocery restocked with some more durable items. Painted wood blocks make great food packages. The membership is a fantastic value and I gladly purchased one for myself since I see myself going back often for the rotating exhibits, and my granddaughter can enjoy the Explorer area.
