  • Even with the large pine trees removed - this place is very nice. Reservations are required to camp, but it's worth the hassle.  more »
  • We drove here from Steamboat Springs and had a great visit. The Ranger at the Visitor Center was very helpful and we enjoyed walking the Tombstone Nature Trail. Being sea level landlubbers at home (an...  more »
  • We went expecting a good deal but found it rather disappointing. Lake area with trailers, some boats and not a lot of great trails.  more »
  • Amazing scenes, great campsites, and Ranger programs. All of the Rangers are Very nice , and engaging. The campsites all have fire rings, there was some fallout from the pine beetle but many of the sites still have trees either coming back or other species. Motor boats are allowed on the lake, but can also be rented from the Marina. The Marina store also has allot of supplies at surprisingly low prices. There are Power lots available for you RV people, and Limited Cabins can be rented from the Marina, although they run at around $90 a night. There is a great swim beach , and lots of hidden coves for some great fishing.
  • Clean public areas, nice tables, etc. Good fishing, not quite excellent. averaged 13"-16" trout with line from shore. Very quiet when I was there.
  • Beautiful setting in a valley surrounded by mountains. Interesting hiking trail along the lake. Very picturesque.
  • A great stop in northern Colorado. It is sometimes a little more crowded than other area lakes, but it has not been too bad.
  • Beautiful! Great location with good facilities.
