  • Worth the time and effort. Bring your own boots and warm weather gear. Their options are very limited. Action packed tour with awesome views. T was our guide. He was great. Take an additional 30-35...  more »
  • When our dude ranch plans got canceled due to the epic snow storm, we wanted to try to still get at least one horseback ride. The drive up from Steamboat was scenic. The guy in the roadhouse was...  more »
  • Hahn's Peak Snowmobiling Tour did not deliver what they said. Booked a 2 hour snow mobile tour and it lasted 1 hour 15 minutes. The snow in Clark is sparse, and we was not looking for back country.....  more »
  • After striking out at several locations in Steamboat, trying to go horseback riding, my wife and I decided to head out to Steamboat Lake and hike for a bit. We found the Roadhouse along the way and they had an opening for horseback riding. It was an awesome experience. We did the two hour ride, Paige was our guide and we had a blast despite riding through a surprise thunderstorm, 50 degrees and windy (in shorts and a T-shirt). The scenery, especially as the storm rolled in was spectacular, far better (in my opinion) than what some of our options were immediately around town. Awesome views of the lake and Hahn’s Peak. The horses were very docile and easy to control, even for a very inexperienced rider. And they never flinched, even has the thunder rolled around us. It was a truly awesome experience.
  • Cannot say enough great things about HP Roadhouse and its staff!!!!! Anyone coming to Steamboat should not miss the chance to chime here, great food, great music, great activities and the nicest staff ever!!! We prefer it over downtown Steamboat for sure. Thank you for being so welcoming and providing us with full bellies!!!! ❤❤
  • We took a 2.5 hour horseback ride and it was the best!!! Our guide, Matt, was absolutely incredible, especially with my 10 year old, who was nervous at the beginning. By the end, Q was smiling from ear to ear and had figured out how to get Cinnamon to do what he wanted her to do. Matt talked to him about everything from the trees, to wildlife, to baseball, and truly made this an experience of a lifetime. Both my kids declared this the best thing we did during our 8 days in Steamboat. Thank you Matt and Hahn's Peak! (we also enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant afterwards). We will definitely be back!
  • The picture of the bacon and eggs did not do the food justice. Great home cooked taste. Customer service was awesome
  • I have been here almost every year for the past 10 years and feel like the accommodations have gone downhill. When I checked in with my family this past week, we found that the cabins were quite dirty. Coffee was left in the coffee pots in two of the cabins we rented, the floors had debris on them, the towel rack was off the wall in one of the bathrooms, and a pair of earrings was found in one of the beds. Two years ago, the sheets on two of the beds in our cabin hadn’t been changed, and they contained blood and hair from the previous renters. The mattresses are worn out and need to be replaced... it’s like sleeping on a rock with springs digging into your back. The furniture, appliances, and flooring in some cabins also need to be replaced. Items in the convenience store are marked up to insane prices. The owners purchase items from Walmart and sell them in their store at more than quadruple the price, so do yourself a favor and stop in Steamboat Springs to stock up before heading here! The good things about this place are that you have a beautiful view of Hahn’s Peak and you’re within close driving distance of Steamboat Lake.
