  • Honestly I'm glad this isn't a popular place. But holy hell is it a marvelous place. It's so full of history and beauty I only wish I could be here all the time. ❤️  more »
  • Nice small Pa.State Park with lake for boating, fishing, and swimming. Campground with primitive and electric sites. Pets allowed in all lower loop of campground. Modern bathhouse with showers. Trails ...  more »
  • We arrived late and left early due to time constraints, but the park seemed like it had plenty to offer. The walk-in site we chose (75) was spacious, but lacked significant tree cover. I think that if...  more »

  • Very pretty park! The camping cottage we stayed in exceeded our expectations. It was in a lovely setting about 100 feet from the lake with good privacy from the other campers. The separate bathroom and shower facilities were also clean and well maintained, the hiking trails were beautiful and interesting, and it's a great lake to kayak! The staff was attentive to campers' needs without being obtrusive. We had a great time!
  • My visit here was short but will be remembered! Found this park on a road trip out to Lake Erie, it was foggy and a little wet but it made for a very cool visit with fog and mist hanging in the surrounding forest. There are hiking trails and a very nice lake, looks like a great place to camp. I will have to make it back out there one of these days!
  • Great place to camp have been there 3 times. Some nice easy trails to hike great place to kayak in calm waters. They used to rent kayaks but do not anymore but if you Kayak go to the south end of the lake and down the inlet. Bathrooms are very clean and showers are as well. I have never been to a park that is kept so clean. They also have a small swimming area, volleyball net and fishing. as well as many pavilions for picnics and plenty of parking. They only allow one car per camping area but have a lot of parking for extra cars at entrance.
  • Very clean and well laid out. The staff were extremely helpful and could be seen making rounds and checking on things all day. I especially liked the trails, well maintained and marked with easy to follow blazes.
  • We stopped by this park to have lunch. The park ranger was very friendly and helpful with us discussing our journey through Allegheny National Forest. The butterfly garden was in need of maintenance. The picnic area has a dog waste problem, it was all over the place.
