Washington Park, Cincinnati

#7 of 12 in Parks in Cincinnati
Washington Park is an important civic space in the heart of Cincinnati that has evolved over the last 150 years to accommodate the needs and aspirations of the community. The latest improvements came as a result of a unique partnership between the Cincinnati Park Board and the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC). Working together, the two organizations engaged in a community-based master planning process to create a new plan for the park in 2007. The vision which emerged not only preserved what is unique and special about the park, but also added new amenities to support the revitalization of the neighborhood.

  • great park with affordable all-day parking underneath. Can easily catch the street car (that goes all the way downtown by the river) as it runs on either side of the park. Findlay Market and several restaurants of OTR are a five minute walk from here, if you're hungry. Park the car at Washington Park and spend the rest of the day exploring Cincinnati
  • The "new" Washington Park is wonderful! The landscaping is done to perfection, and it is so good to know that this area of Over-the Rhine is being used for beautification and for the edification of the citizens. It is so much fun to watch the children enjoying the fountains and to see adults sitting on the benches talking together. What a gift to Cincinnati!
  • Lovely park with a lot going on. Nice dog park to let the furry ones run free. Fountains for kids and kids at heart to cool down and a play area for the kids too.
  • Excellent park! Clean. Lots for the kids to do - playground and water feature. And plenty of places to relax and have adult beverages. They have lots of activities and entertainment. There is always something going on.
  • Cool park, lots of water for a hot day and restrooms were reasonable as well. Had good access from the cool street car ride too, but wont let you ride bikes in the park.
