Washington Park, Cincinnati

(4.6/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
Washington Park is an important civic space in the heart of Cincinnati that has evolved over the last 150 years to accommodate the needs and aspirations of the community. The latest improvements came as a result of a unique partnership between the Cincinnati Park Board and the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC). Working together, the two organizations engaged in a community-based master planning process to create a new plan for the park in 2007. The vision which emerged not only preserved what is unique and special about the park, but also added new amenities to support the revitalization of the neighborhood.
A visit to Washington Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Cincinnati tour planner to plot your vacation.

  • Wow! Has this place been cleaned up! Having grown up in Cincinnati I remember being scared to walk around this area; my brother had his wedding at Music Hall and we had to hire private security to ensure all guests got in safely. But wow - the area is bustling with energy, clean, plenty to do, and just looks fantastic! Fountains, drink booths, events in the yard, plenty of sitting and walking space. I'm thoroughly impressed.
  • Since the renovation, Washington Park has become a great place for family fun and adult activities. With an outside bar for the grown ups, a splash area and play ground for the kids and a wonderful dog park for the four legged fur babies. With lots of green space for lounging around or a pick-up game of kick ball, music events, group workouts and movies on the lawn you will be guaranteed a fun filled day exploring this gem in the heart of Cincinnati's Over The Rhine District.
  • Awesome middle-of-the-city park. In the summer, our family would go Sunday evenings where it was low traffic and met the kids run through the water fountains while me and my wife had a beer from the patio. Pro tip: you can buy beer at the patio and take it elsewhere in the park! Money!
  • Love this park, remodeled a few years back, benches galore, awesome giant steps in the middle, a lot of events and performances here, love coming down for city flea, or any time the food trucks are out, in the middle of OTR, good playground, water fountains, awesome place to come and draw/paint, concession stand open during events, and alcohol service.
  • Busy park with a dog area. I went here for the Asian festival.... food was good but that had little to do with them. Well organized event though and I'm sure some of that was them. Parking below the park and many places to walk for food or a beer. I actually use the parking fairly often for places nearby.
