  • We've always heard good things about the Cincinnati Zoo. Wanted to come and see it for ourselves. We went on an overcast/rainy day but that didn't seem to matter. Gorilla exhibit was awesome. Definite...  more »

  • Always great. World class and always working hard to educate and preserve. Plus there're hippos now! Also a very flamingo friendly zoo. Food can be pricey (but that's anywhere you go, right?) but with a membership it's reasonable. Great mix of exhibits and animal encounters. I'd go 6 stars if I could. We love our zoo!
  • This zoo was a lot of fun. It's not the biggest zoo, but it has a lot to offer. Plenty of good animals to see, and we got lucky because many of them were easy to see. I especially loved the cat house, the insect displays, and the red pandas, but all the other animals were great too. There was even a giraffe with its head just a couple of feet from the railing. The hippos were a lot of fun to watch too, because they were swimming and you get a good underwater view of them here. Admission was a little expensive, but we still had a good time.
  • Fun experience. Sadly, the aviary was closed when I came last :( It's an especially fun part of the trip. There are a lot of animals, and most seem active and happy. There are admittedly a few exhibits where the animals typically seem sad, such as the bear exhibits, however. I think that these exhibits should be reworked to be more fun, not only for the visitors, but for the animals.
  • All the single star votes are pissing me off, you guys need to grow up. Yes what happened to the gorilla was awful, but that's no reason to leave these dumb remarks and one star reviews on a zoo with so much to do and see. I encourage those of you who really want to read the reviews as they are meant to be, to know that this zoo is a great zoo. It might be nestled down town but with all the lush foliage, it's easy to be swept into the excitement of see the animal without thinking about the concrete jungle encompassing you. It really is a sight to see.
  • Went during the winter time. The tickets were much cheaper, so that's good. A surprising amount of exhibits were still open and we got to see almost all the animals we wanted to. Overall i would say this zoo is fairly well laid out and clean. I think parking should be included in the ticket price, but oh well.
