  • A lot of the key experiences we traveled for were closed. The cheetah encounter was closed and that was the main thing we were looking forward to. Also due to COVID-19 they were not handling out...  more »

  • We really enjoyed the zoo. Even with COVID restrictions they we’re able to keep most of the zoo open. There were a number of indoor exhibits closed which of course was disappointing, but at least...  more »

  • The experience is definitely worth the price. Having a membership to the Louisville zoo gave us a discount for entrance, so that was extremely nice. The whole property is beautiful and well maintained. The animals looked happy and their exhibits aided in activity. It is a HUGE place, plan on spending the whole day if you can make it that long. The education center looked very nice and the summer programs are worth looking into, which I plan to next year despite not living locally.
  • I know a ton of people are against zoos but Cincinnati Zoo is unlike any other. Just what they do for the animals it's amazing. I love all the different events that the Cincinnati Zoo host. And if you don't have a membership and you go at least twice a year, you're wasting your money not getting one. Even for a small family you go twice it pays for itself. And if you have a large family there's a good chance going once it pays for itself. It's always clean the bathrooms are clean the zoo in general is always clean. Always staff everywhere if you need help. You cannot go wrong with the Cincinnati Zoo
  • As of this writing, the Cincinnati Zoo was listed as the best zoo in North America by USA Today. It also holds a place in history being the second oldest zoo in the USA and is the last known residence of the now extinct passenger pigeon. My family holds a zoo membership and we visit about once a month. We love this zoo! It's large, well maintained, and the animals are treated with great care and respect. The director of the zoo, Thane Maynard, has appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and CBS This Morning to promote the zoo, educate viewers, and encourage conservation and good stewardship of our planet and the life it harbors. In the warm months the zoo provides up close encounters with zoo animals with their excellent enclosures and special events. The botanical gardens, featuring gorgeous and large areas of flowering plants, are not to be missed if you enjoy colorful plant life. In the winter the Cincinnati Zoo offers a "Festival of Lights", where a large portion of the walking paths are covered, practically dripping, in colored lights. It's beautiful and my children love it. We enjoy visiting in the winter just as much as visiting in the summer. The perimeter of the lake, fountain, and passenger train tracks are covered in lights timed to a selection of holiday songs. Every year we get pictures with Santa. The Cincinnati Zoo is one of my family's favorite and most often visited local attractions.
  • I have been to various zoos around the world including the popular Singapore, Sydney and San Diego zoo. This visit to Cincinnati zoo is at the top of this list. The zoo is very nicely designed with all the exhibits so easy to access, hot day - no problem they have it covered with a very good shade paths and rest areas, the animals look very healthy and lively, there were good number of zoo officials around for us to speak, the various animal encounter experiences were fun and enriching and the list goes on. The one which I enjoyed the most is to watch the cheetahs chase their targets. To see the cheetah agility up close is unbelievable. I will surely plan to visit this zoo again.
  • The misting stations were a nice touch. They have lots of cool animals to check out. Occasionally, you'll find a staff member giving presentations about the animals and they encourage asking questions. It's a great place for a field trip. Unlike other zoos I've been to recently, the animals are more reliably visible in their enclosures, though many were simply resting in the shade on a hot summer day. I'll definitely go again in the autumn to see the animals possibly more active. The tickets were reasonable, but bring lots of money for food and souvenirs, though.
