  • Our Seaworld passes come with Aquatica passes and it was a hot day so off we went. We got there at opening and snagged some great seats right next to the pool and off we went. We loved the bigger ride...  read more »
  • The rides were ok, but place could use updating, especially considering how expensive it is for Chula Vista and being in the middle of no mans land. They charge for everything under the moon and the l...  read more »
  • Went to Aquatica over Labor Day weekend with 2 families, 3 kids (1 toddler), 3 adults. We rented a premium cabana located near the wave pool. Cabana service is nice as you have a shaded, private place...  read more »
  • You have to get here early, if you do, get a spot in the sand near the wave pool in the shade. Then you get the beach feeling with a few steps to the food. The park is great and the water is moderately heated. There are hundreds of people coming through the park so you may see some trash and the occasional band aid, but that is what chlorine is for. The kids pool is a little high on the chlorine concentration but there are plenty of other things to do than stay in the pool too long. For kids life jackets are required for some areas, but are provided. For anyone familiar with the Dole whip soft serve at Disney, there is a stand here, while it is not Dole it is the same and you can get it served in a pineapple for a more vacation like experience. There are a couple bars too, pre defined drinks only, but local SD brews are available!
  • I went there yesterday the 20th. Of August, 2016 met my nephew Ray & his wife Ashley, with their 3 boy's Jacob, Noah & Dominick! My husband Jose came 30 minutes later with my daughter Amber,Jamie, Aiden & my 15 month old Grandson Levi! I looked it up online and found an amazing deal on their website!! A one day adult ticket was the regular price of $44.00 so I purchased 3 adult, but Wait... here's the kicker:= = ALL THE KIDS WERE FREE !!! little Dom, was free anyway because he 2 1/2 but Jacob is 10 and Noah 8, I saved $76.00 & it was on a Saturday! There just wasn't enough time, I mean there is so much to Do, see, eat!! love, laugh & live... So many Giggles, Smiles, and Laughing out Loud! #GreatestMemoriesEver #FamilyFun #WeLoveAquaticaSanDiego #ILoveMyFamily
  • I came to aquatica with my daughter on wendnesday in summer. And the park was extremely crowded. I recccomend for everyone to get the quick quenue pass its a little pricy ($20 per person). But its worth it the lines are extreamly long, and the wait is teribble. The food is fine, or at least wait I expected from a theme park . Also aquatica does not let you bring food into the park, you must buy some or eat outside of the park. The one thing that I did not like about this park is that the ground is extresmely hot, and almost blistered my feet. Tassies Twister is super fun but the way up to the ride is terrible. They have one flight of stairs that is steal (and hurts your feet a lot). Overall the aquatica park is super fun, clean, has good slides and rides, ok food. I would reccomednd this to anyone who likes waterparks.
  • If you appreciate the service level, crowd & environment of Carnival Cruises - you'll love this place. Tacky, with extremely poor service bordering on rude, and at one point - hostile staff at each & every level. Gross, unhealthy food options. Dirty, low-budget environment. Went with a small group of girlfriends, for a new experience (we don't usually frequent water parks). Rented a cabana, and the employee from whom we rented scowled at us the entire time (no idea why), looked annoyed to be serving us - and rolled her eyes when I asked "why" they needed my physical home address (& phone number, btw) to rent a cabana? your home address to some random employee at a water park is a security issue to me. The "cabana" was super low budget. Basically a tent with lawn chairs, a rickety mini-fridge that you had to hold with one hand while opening otherwise it would fall out of the credenza, and some low-end version of a safe. Gross. Ordered lunch, and ONE HOUR later our server returned (w/o food), to advise that their grill wasn't functioning, so couldn't provide the burgers some of the ladies had ordered. Seriously. A bit later, 2 other friends had decided to join us - meaning we now had a group of 7. Our server (we later learned) apparently called security (??) to advise that "we were trying to squeeze an additional person into a 6 person cabana." We had no idea this was an issue. Security came - no joke, and began to hassle us - advising that we were being issued "a warning" due to policy violation of an additional person. Believe me - this group of ladies are more accustomed to the Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental than a water park, and would have HAPPILY 1) purchased a larger OR additional cabana if it was available or 2) paid an additional fee, for the extra lady. Additionally, the manner in which they handled the issue, was egregiously inappropriate for a group of well-behaved women, clearly just trying to enjoy the day. After paying for tickets, an "express pass" for front of line privileges, a Cabana, multitudes of food and beverages - AND tipping our server (handsomely) EACH time s/he delivered food and beverages, we were at a loss as to the fully undeserved level of hostility exhibited by "Security", and as to why our server would call Security on us in the first place? It was WEIRD. Or - maybe we just aren't accustomed to this sort of environment, and it is to be expected. IDK. The server, not once - bused our table. We had to bus and clean it ourselves throughout the day. Ridiculous. If the above experience wouldn't bother you - go. If you'd rather be treated as though an organization values your business, is friendly, kind, welcoming and accommodating - STAY AWAY. You'll be annoyed. And btw - we are all local in San Diego/North County and won't be returning - obvi.
  • Nice relaxing water park with the kind of service you will expect from a SeaWorld park. The location (inland in Chula Vista) gives you a very relaxed (isolated) experience, low noise and relaxing environment. There are several well kept slides and attractions and a decent variety of food choices (for the type of park). Prices are reasonable and several promotions are run throughout the operating season.
