Where to stay in Anchorage

Anchorage hotels increase room rates during the height of the tourist season, but you can visit the area economically any time of year by choosing a budget-friendly bed and breakfast or small inn. The city's downtown area contains the priciest rooms; most are offered by chain hotels. You can find less expensive rooms at a cluster of hotels located in Midtown, a largely commercial neighborhood with a good selection of restaurants and shops.

  • Provided a decent overview of the Russian Orthodox Church. Not a lot to look at.
  • An interesting piece of Russian American history, definitely worth a visit.
  • Not much to do. I'd suggest just visiting a Russian Orthodox Church for free.
  • One of a kind graveyard experience. Must see places around Anchorage. It was more thrilling on a not so crowded rainy afternoon.
  • Beautiful park!
