It clearly states, no pictures inside please, but people don’t respect this. That leaves such a bad taste for people who try to be peaceful, quiet, and meditative. I cannot understand why it is so..... more »

Beautiful Place The Church and environment is so peaceful! Holy dirt to get healed. Everyone is truly kind. They have gift shops and a place to walk around to see the saints. When I got there I was depressed then as I left I was happy peaceful and felt like a new person I do believe that place heals. I highly recommend going if you can.

Beautiful sanctuaries. Moving mementos in chapels honor children in particular and request prayers for individuals. An important pilgrimage site. Also know for "holy dirt," reputed to have healing powers, the dirt continuously pushes up from the ground.

Good place to visit. Go earlier in the day as it was not as crowded so you would be able to have some quiet time to reflect. Place has been remodeled and updated to accommodate more people now from when I last visited 7+years ago. Allow yourself couple hours so you could visit all and especially sitting outside near the river. Tranquil, quiet, peaceful and free from all worries, troubles and hustle bustle lifestyle for a few minutes or hours.....

My only child we found out has cancer so we drove two hours to go to have her blessed cause when I called the person answering the phone said it would be Ok she said before or after Mass we could speak with the Father we go to mass and father right away goes to his office so we're say excuse me and ask he does reluctantly bless her we go to the gift shop and they have run out of a lot of things don't have a big selection. I went next door to the other gift shop and find a lot of really nice things. Sorry for the big rant was just so disappointed 😔 this last time we went The Santuario has always been this sacred place with healing powers that's why we drove then to get treated like that was so very disappointing

Santuario is a great place to go and pray and visit. It's hidden up in Chimayo New Mexico. Visit the Church and get some Holy water and some Holy Dirt from the Sacred ground inside the Church. Take lots of pictures too.
