  • The place chicken (formerly ptarmigan) is a must-stop on the ride on the Taylor / top of the world highway. A fun place with a souvenir shop, bar and Café. The homemade cake was flawless. Definitely a rewarding place for a stop.

  • Found this to be a fun stop, photo ops everywhere. Kids loved it and did some gold panning. Gift shop had great selection. Quite a good time and we will be stopping again.

  • No gas. They were trying to close the shop on us soon after we got inside. I did manage to grab the book "Tisha," before they shooed us out the door. I asked about the advertised tour of the teachers cabin and schoolhouse area and was rewarded with a cold glare. They seemed disinclined to waste time on two wayfarers. He did quickly point out which building was the schoolhouse and Mr. Strong's cabin before sighing from the effort, settling into a chair, and ignoring us again. I was impressed with the area, however.
  • We stopped here on the way to Dawson city. Had a blast pan for gold, the food we had for lunch was delicious and the staff was awesome. Might try make it for Chickenstock one year
  • A great little spot in the middle of nowhere. Literally. This place is about 90 minutes to the boarder crossing. The owners are friendly and their food is fresh. The double espresso shot is large and worth every penny of $2.50. If you stay the night you get free wifi for $16. Not a bad deal.
  • Stopped on the way to Dawson. You must use the "chicken poop" to appreciate it.
  • it's like being at home with good friends
