United Center, Chicago

(4.4/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
The largest arena in the country based on its physical size, United Center serves as the home of two of Chicago's most-beloved sports franchises, the National Basketball Association Bulls and the National Hockey League Blackhawks. Take a picture with the Michael Jordan statue on the east side of the arena and with statues of various Blackhawks players around the perimeter of the 89,000 sq m (960,000 sq ft) complex. Beyond basketball and hockey games, the area hosts numerous special events, such as concerts, throughout the year. Be prepared to pay for parking and allow extra time to walk to the arena. If you want to take a cab after an event, try walking away from the complex to flag one down. Arrange to visit United Center and other attractions in Chicago using our Chicago trip itinerary maker.

  • Great stadium for Bulls and Blackhawks games. Actually concerts are a lot of fun here too. Even the nosebleed seats aren't that bad and the food, staff and beverage options keep getting better.
  • Been to two concerts here. Both times had great views. Easy to get to, parking is a breeze, easy to get around inside.
  • Really friendly staff! It was super easy to find our gate and seats, and if we had questions everyone was very helpful. I was delighted to find craft beer and vegetarian fare available - veggie burgers can be pretty hit and miss, but this one was delightful.
  • Stay away from the upper deck nose bleed seats. They are WAY up there. Plus you get no souvenirs. All the tee shirts and other gear are only passed out or shot to the middle and lower seating.
  • Have never been to the United Center, but a handful of other NHL venues. This was a unique experience, and recommended to those who have not been. By the way, Blackhawks beat the Flyers 7-4.
