United Center, Chicago

4.5
The largest arena in the country based on its physical size, United Center serves as the home of two of Chicago's most-beloved sports franchises, the National Basketball Association Bulls and the National Hockey League Blackhawks. Take a picture with the Michael Jordan statue on the east side of the arena and with statues of various Blackhawks players around the perimeter of the 89,000 sq m (960,000 sq ft) complex. Beyond basketball and hockey games, the area hosts numerous special events, such as concerts, throughout the year. Be prepared to pay for parking and allow extra time to walk to the arena. If you want to take a cab after an event, try walking away from the complex to flag one down. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Chicago holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the United Center and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Saw a Blackhawks and Bulls game here on separate occasions, but both were amazing. Chicago is known to be a huge sports town and it definitely did not disappoint. Sat up top for the hockey game and th...  more »
  • I’ve attended a few games at the UC. The new addition is very nice. I like all the updates at the stadium. The MJ statue indoors is a great back drop for pics.  more »
  • If you're not going for a concert or game, Michael Jordan fans will want to stop by to see the iconic statue, now inside in a new addition to the stadium. Not far from West Loop/Fulton Market.  more »

  • I’ve been coming to the United Center since it was first put up, and almost as far back as I can remember. I’ve seen many games and concerts at this venue and I have a lot of great memories from here, hopefully I will have a lot more. One thing this stadium does great compared to other in my opinion is handling traffic for such a large group of people. Maybe I’ve gotten lucky, but to me everyone working those parking lots and the structure of the streets makes getting in and out pretty easy considering it’s in the city. Always have a good time here and although you pay stadium prices the vendors are always cool.
  • Review considered with kids... Clean! Entered with a crowd but exiting was easy and did not feel like I thought, an overwhelmingly large crowd. Took stairs to exit from third floor and it was very easy. Parked across the street but walked straight ahead, pathway. Parking and street attendants were super helpful. Coldest night ever but barely waited ten minutes lining up to get inside. Will definitely go again! And Bulls won! Very happy!
  • The first time I went to the United Center, I was a mere child. When I went to the arena as an adult, I was able to appreciate the facility! It is humongous and beautiful! I attended a Bulls game and a concert the following day. However, the food was not good and way overpriced. I ordered a burger and the bun was hard like a rock. Like beef, lettuce, and cheese on rocks! Other than that, nice place!
  • I love seeing concerts at the United Center. It's not the best acoustics in the world, but getting to and from is pretty easy. Parking is plentiful, and there really aren't too many bad seats in the entire place. The neighborhood is also 1000x safer than it once was.
  • The United center is the best sports arena I have ever been to! The atmosphere in the arena is amazing. When the Hawks score the whole place goes nuts! The only bad part was the price. For standing room tickets it was 50$. In a lot of other arenas that would buy you good tickets. For a pop and popcorn it was 17$. But the atmosphere was so good I can overlook that. I highly suggest you go to the United center.
